Who knew it would be at 12:01 AM Sunday morning.

Well, her release was set for July 17. As soon as it hits midnight, it's the next day, so 12:01 a.m. is technically July 17 so she's entitled to be released. And they pretty much always release folks shortly after midnight, or in the middle of the night, to avoid crowds of angry citizens or a bunch of news reporters and photographers.

I just saw an article that says she was released in the company of an armed guard and that there was a crowd there shouting 'killer' and 'murderer'. Probably would have been a much bigger crowd if they had released her mid-afternoon. She was then taken to a private airport near Orlando. I really hope she fades into oblivion

If you can get to it, you might try a nut splitter, you can get them at most automotive and hardware stores, it slips over the nut to the side, and has a screw in the end that drives a cutter into the nut which splits the nut, allowing it to be removed. This is probably brass so it should be easy. Otherwise, try a few standard things first, penetrating oil or WD-40 and leaving it overnight, then, last of all, vicegrips on the bolt if you can reach it, true, the top threads will be damaged but you can probably cut the bolt under the nut at that point, you'd be best to replace the bolts when you get it apart. Another method would be to carefully drill into the bolt itself, from the top, and insert an "easy out" which is a reverse threaded tapered screw, usually designed to extract a broken bolt, but in this case, it will stop the screw from turning while you undo the nut. Try the simpler fixes first. If you have to cut something off, dremel-type tools are great for that, much more compact than a full sized angle grinder. Wear safety glasses or a face shield all the same.

I know Nancy Grace's history and I still don't care for her TV persona. She has a grating voice and a strident personality. She is anti-crime but who isn't? Personally I believe she is just as aware of her ratings as any TV host is and works to increase them. If ratings go down the show gets canceled. Her inflammatory rhetoric provokes the situation and she has made several public, grievous errors. She doesn't seem to have any problems declaring someone is guilty before a trail even commences. She lambasted Duke and the Duke University lacrosse team in a case where a stripper falsely accused 3 players of rape. And there are quite a few other examples where she's used her show to push her own agenda. I don't watch her show but there are times when she's a guest on other programs and I catch her act there.

This is making me nuts! I can't imagine what she's doen to her and how can she live with herself. So casually lying about it...she makes me sick! I can't wait until this is over, I am so wrapped up in this story now! I haven't heard any confirmation on the DNA either, just that they haven't released the results yet. I guess your friend would know huh? I hope that info is wrong but it doesn't look like she's alive. Such a sad situation...the whole family is whacked. If I didn't see my grandchild for a few weeks and kept getting some weird story as to why, I would start getting suspicious.

I live in Orlando and we've been surrounded by this case from the start. It's all so sad and maddening too. Whether this young mother killed her poor child, or let her be fatally injured through negligence or sold her, there doesn't seem to be much doubt that she was deeply involved. The police have said there was much information they were not releasing. I'm sure they wanted to be certain they had all the evidence they needed before charging her. Fade,no way!! I read she is appealing her lying convictions. That will keep her in the news for a long time. Possibly this was her motive, the attention.

I'd always assumed she'd be released right after midnight. why would they wait till day time when they could get rid of her and the crowds earlier?

It would be nice if she faded away, but given her emotional make-up, I think that's a snowball's chance in you-know-where. I don't see how she's going to stop loving being the center of attention--that's her 'thing', and now she's got the world looking at her. Just too good a chance for someone like her to pass up, I fear.

It's doubtful that she can fade away since there are lawsuits against her. I heard the appeal of the lying verdicts was so she could avoid having to pay fines or be sued, and the state would pay her attorneys. I hope they never get paid! That's the only upside of the OJ acquittal--he never paid the scumbag attorneys who got him off. Poetic justice.

If anyone pays her for interviews, that media outlet should be boycotted! She should not be able to profit from the death of that adorable baby. Casey can run, but she can't hide forever...and I wouldn't give great odds for her safety.

i don't wish her well, in any sense of the word, but I also don't support vigilante justice. Why would a person ruin their lives, by taking hers. First, she hasn't been in front of the Greatest Judge in the universe, yet. She cannot escape that and no slick, trying to make a name for himself, lawyer will be there to represent her. As for her fighting the lying to the police charge, you have to know the lawyers are right there prompting and advising her.

OMG! Ya know, that is a terrible thing to say!

The obsession over this case is shocking.

Horrible, despicable things happen to people, pets, & children every single day, multiple times a day. Some might think about backing away from "the edge" over the Anthony trial.

From what I read in the paper, she's fighting those charges in order for the state to pay all the expenses of the trial. It's over $400,000 that the good people of Florida get to absorb.

Correct me if I'm wrong but, with no visible means of support and no foreseeable way to gain employment, the most that a lawsuit will gain is a judgement against her. The chances of that ever being paid are very small. Can't get blood out of a turnip.

I agree with you beeohio, there are these types of crimes commited everyday, why so hyped over Casey I just don't understand. I heard that last night people were out with there small children waiting for her to be released.

People who are wishing her harm as worse than she is.

There are far worse people out there than Casey Anthony, let her get on with her life. She was aquitted, get over it people.

She'll do all right in the end. I hear there's a book deal pending......... Hopefully the lawsuits will be lucrative after all!
