Another babies update

Jillian may get to come home Tuesday! She is eating like a little piggy.LOL Rowdy is improving every day.They may take out the breathing tube tomorrow.DDIL's sister sent a picture of him tonight and he looks really good.

This is wonderful news! Thank you so much for the update. I've been so worried about Rowdy, and I know that Jillian must miss being with him.

lilliepad, thanks for the update. I'm so glad they're doing so well. Prayers for continued rapid progress. I hope little Rowdy is soon ready to come home too.

The I Love You Forever book is evil (just kidding; it really will make you cry, and not just because of whacked out hormones and lack of sleep). Really, it's not fair, I've decided: When they're newborns, so tiny and helpless, is really when they NEED to be held, but it's all we can do as new moms to try and figure out how to put them DOWN so we can get something done! But then later (like NOW for me; my baby's 14 months) when you feel normal again and really WANT to hold and snuggle them, they're too independant and want to be climbing/destroying/breaking/eating everything and they don't want to be snuggled anymore.... Take lots of pictures, and write everything down. You really think there's no possible way you'll forget _____ happening, but you do. You can't get this time back! Just love them. Thank you all so much. The funeral is today. It reminds me that my 3rd would have been 23 this year. I don't want to go to the funeral, but I am. Most of the time I don't even think about it, but every once in a while, even after all these years, seeing a baby or a pregnant woman, will bother me. Oh well. God knows what He is doing. I know both are very well loved up there!

Tube is out today and they started feeding him (1cc so far today through a feeding tube).Jillie Bean will be coming home tomorrow afternoon.If they get home in time we will drive up to see Rowdy and take a supply of Mommie's milk! If not we will go Thursday morning.

Jilli Bean is home! They got home around 2 this afternoon.I can't believe how tiny and absolutely perfect she is.She is a good baby too,or at least has been up to this point.Of course that could change any minute!LOL
We are going to Lubbock tomorrow to see Rowdy.He is off everything and they are feeding him now through a feeding tube.They have moved him out of the NICU into the "growers" room.We are taking our 5th wheel up for the kids to stay in so Mom can be there with the milk supply.There is a place on the grounds where we can park the trailer with electricity and water furnished for $10.00 a day.DDIL called and asked if they have to pay up front or would they add it to their bill and they said,"Just write us a check when you leave!" This is a Godsend because the kids are broke and so are we and we didn't know how we were going to manage the two or three 200 mile round trips a week with the price of gasoline.This whole thing has had some "Divine" intervention though so I'm not really surprised! Finding out that the doctor taking care of Rowdy was one that DDIL knew well and worked with and trusted,plus the NICU nurse being her good friend.Just too much going on to be a coincidence. We found out a couple of days ago to that there has been an outbreak of the chicken pox in the hospital/neonatal unit where they would have been in Albuquerque had they stayed there to have the babies.She also has a job not far from Lubbock if she wants it when she is able to go back to work while Rowdy is getting well.This will help them get back on their feet so they can get back home!
We will take some pictures tomorrow and I'll post them as soon as I can.
Thanks again everyone for all the prayers.Just keep them coming because Rowdy still has a ways to go but I know he is going to be fine with a little time.Sorry this was so long.I got carried away.LOL

Hey, I can understand how you could get carried away during this good/bad/stressful time!! Glad to hear that both babies are doing well. Hope Rowdy gets to come home soon!

This is the bestest news!! Glad things are going so well and that you'll have somewhere to lay you head at night!! Give them little darlings lots of gentle hugs and kisses!!
