Glad to find the table, new to group:)

Just thought that I would introduce myself. I am a stay at home mom of 4 and had been a teacher. You probably remember me as Girlsingardens;) Because of posting in the wrong area I couldn't post as gig or any other name so after a trip on the tea cups (just got back from taking the girls to Disney) I am back:) The boys are getting so big, Hudson is scooting and crawling around everywhere, Hayden is tan all over, his hair is almost white and is as long as the girls:) He is such a cutie with that long hair I hate to have it cut and I haven't so it fits in a pony tail. The girls are busy with the garden and playing mom to the boys and are my little helpers. I am over 100 days clean and sober and enjoying life. It may be crazy but only if you let the crazy get to you and overwhelm you.

So glad to be back and have missed you all.

Hi, Stacie.....keep up the good work!
I got to see my granddaughter who is the same age as Hudson. Babies are so much fun....and it is fun to watch the older ones respond to the baby smiles.
Keeping you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.

It's great that you had a fine trip to that entertainment place.

Congrats on your great achievement, as well. I send my good thoughts, hopes and prayers that you can persevere in it.

I have a much larger garden (about triple), this year, shared with landlord - new one 6 rows, over 60 paces each (i.e. over 180 feet) long. Keeps me out of trouble - but my old knees complain!

Usually, I take pretty good pictures... but tonight, I just couldn't get many good shots... here are a few update photos... you can see scapes poking up in some pictures, and just leafy growth in others... and then there are the seeds I just planted... some Hippi seeds from a dear friend, and some Daylily seeds from a reddish/mauve plant in the garden... Blackie, so it is...Thanks. I have it listed wrong on my chart. Suzy, Good memory. They promised scaffolding (and is one reason why I picked them), but they did not come through. They did temporary ladder to ladder scaffolding from time to time, but there was still constant ladders in and out of all the beds. The tri-clematis wall was the tightest space and got the most damage, but I'm hoping the plants will be back to normal next year. They also stepped on an emerging martagon lily that suffered a lot. And some emerging hosta tips got bent resulting in torn foliage. And this was with them being extra careful where they stepped due to the obsessive gardener/homeowner in their midsts! If we could have done it in March as planned, it would have been fine. The timing was super close. Mounting the painted trellises back up on the wall was the very last step. Niobe was growing in leaps and bounds those last few days. The bottom of the trellis was covered in Niobe as soon as it was mounted. The bad part about the painting job is that they might have to come back in the fall to redo some spots that the primer did not adhere to well and got some blistering. I think I would rather take the risk of the paint peeling than have to deal with painters again :-)

Possible New Earth Friendly Simple Swap Group

Shirley (sjc48)and I will soon be welcoming you to the first swap for this group. She will be coordinating the group along with me! I will set up a new heading later this week introducing this group and giving people a chance to sign up for the first swap, so watch for a different heading soon. The full name will be Friends of the Earth Simple Swaps, but look for FOTE being used as an abbreviation in the heading. You will be signing up with the coordinators by sending your real name, mailing address, GardenWeb name, and e-mail address. You can do that by e-mail as soon as the new heading is posted and post to the thread, too, if you want to join in on the first swap. The reason for the request for information is that we need to know who is part of the group. Nothing other than the GardenWeb name or the first name of the person should ever be posted on the forum. The information will not be used for any other purpose. All who sign up need to be adults. Okay, so much for all of that. There will be very simple guildelines for membership and these should not impact you unless you had swaps that were not sent in the past or if you are a total newcomer to GardenWeb. The new members will be able to join if someone who is a known member agrees to be their sponsor. If we need sponsors, they will be requested on the forum. Once the new thread is started, I think the easiest thing will be if you contact either me or Shirley (the other coordinator) about membership by sending the necessary information. If you are a "newbie" tell us that. I am excited that others are sharing in this interest. My garden is doing so poorly in all this heat and lack of rain that I have missed being able to swap this year and I know many have had to cut back on swapping because of the high cost of sending packages.
