I wish I would never have heard the term 'chicken fat'. I think it has me negatively influenced about the DLs that are very ruffled in yellow. I might have a few among my many daylilies, but right now I cannot think of any. LSO is definitely one of the prettier one I have seen. Maybe I will change my mine like I did about spiders. I still do not like the bagel shape. I want mine to be big, open and voluptuous. I did have Startle once, but it was so ugly I tossed it. I showed photos in the daylily forum and you thought it might be a tissue culture. I only paid $8.00 for it so it probably was just that. It was when I first started to include DLs in my garden. This winter when the DLs are hopefully burried under snow, every form, shape, size, color, & ruffle will start looking pretty good. Jean has a good suggestion. Jane

@Trail, my husband laughs and says these aren't mountains just hills. He's from California and thinks I'm funny calling them mountains. It's the Georgia hills around the Civil War battlefields, different ones on different days.. There are definite trails and lately have just been going straight up the paved road with all the rain and then it is just so vertical running down. I haven't got the stamina to run up but do walk it fast. It's so cold I want to go as fast as I personally can which is more like the St. Petersburg shuffle but I'll take it. It took me almost a year to work up to being able to do it nonstop both ways without resting, gaining some speed. At first I would come home and nearly pass out the rest of the day but now I find it is giving me more energy. I always walked but never this hard and then one day I just thought I would like to start running and so I did a little more each day. I could only go a little way at first and then worked up to it. I ran a lot when I was way younger but was always getting hurt with either ankle, knee, hip. Something. I would go for miles but had to stop with the injuries. I admire people who I see out there older than me running straight up that mountain, that is my goal. I envy that their body is still able to bear it. The old joints just don't hold up that well. My neighbor still runs marathons in her 50's and there are many way older also. I'm so envious of them.

Ok, I will stick me in here. I am 66, married for 48 years to my hero. We have a daughter 47, and lost a daughter suddenly 15 months ago. Slowly, we are coming out of the fog that put us in and I can see the light at the end of this tunnel. Remembering the happy times we had with her are slowly taking over the deep sadness. Over the years, I have worked at an answering service, a custom decorator at Sears and as a wig, bra and breast prosthesis fitter in a boutique for the hard to fit woman. What a fun and rewarding job. Women in crisis are a strong and inspiring group. We retired back home to Pennsylvania 9 years ago after 32 years in Ohio and Michigan. Settled about 35 miles north of Pittsburgh to be near family. Daughter is 7 miles away. My life revolves around her and the grand dog, Dh and my home. I love gardening and spend most daylight hours in my yard tending my flowers and shrubs when the weather is fit. In winter, I sew, work on jigsaw puzzles, and dust my hundreds of animal and bird figurines! I am very fond of all living creatures to say the least. I am somewhat handicapped, having been diagnosed with Limb Girdle Muscular Dystrophy at age 17. I am extremely fortunate that I can still walk a little after all these years. I use a cane for very short distances and a walker or a scooter when out of the house. I have been enjoying the KT since shortly after it started. I don't post a great deal, but come here to keep up with all the goings on several times a day. I laugh and cry with you all and am so greatful for the support that has been given me when I needed it. This is a wonderful place to bring your sorrows or ask for advice...and to share your joys.

Beige "CACIQUE" brand regular cut briefs,stretchy fabric.92 % cotton,8 % lycra spandex. Love them! They are the only ones I have found in a long time that are comfortable and don't look like cotton "Grannie panties".LOL I also love their bras but that's another thread.

Nothing at all, just sitting here typing in the nude (Just Kidding), that would be a very scary site. Actually I am wearing hanes her way high thigh briefs. Soon will go to skimpier panties to fit under my big baby belly.

I wear the same as MrsMary - they are comfortable, cool, durable, keep me dry and cover me where they should - my days of sexy underwear went out the window when my husband died last year, along with any desire to feel sexy.
