Can anyone tell me what are the cheapest or best days to book a flight? Any other recommendations? Thanks

I think I read that the very BEST fare prices go up online beginning at 12:01 a.m each Tuesday. Now if you are asking what DAYS of the week are the cheapest to book, I find Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays cheapest, but that MIGHT depend on your desination and carrier. Most of our monthly flights are on AirTran and out of ether BWI or FLL.

Most of the articles I've read suggest Tuesday or Wednesday.

DD and I went to Penny's today to get her some maternity clothes. We did notice lower everyday prices throughout the store. The same exact clothes were priced higher elsewhere and Penney's had the basic tops pretty close to the Burlington outlet prices. DD told me a client told her that Penny's was losing business with the $10 off coupons and "sales". Everyone waited for those and didn't shop there the rest of the time. They are trying to rebuild customer loyalty on everyday value instead of jacking up the price and lowering it for "sales" like Kohl's does. I hope it works for them. Their quality is much better than Kolh's. As someone who really doesn't like to shop I dislike Macy's store layout so I don't shop there any longer. I used to like it a couple of decades age before they turned the stores into a house of mirrors.

If you lose your "connection", the problem is most likely not Netflix but rather your internet signal or the hardware and home network system the signal is flowing through. Rebooting hardware clears it and gives it a fresh start. A constant Netflix stream is likely the most challenging job your system has to deal with, because of the volume of data. If something is sub-par or too feeble to handle the job, a Netflix stream will bring out the problem. Fill in the blank - if some number of these things: your modem, or router, or "box", or mobile phone, or whatever the signal passes through, is/are old or not functioning properly, a new one might fix the problem. If the signal gets to your TV over Wifi, check the strength of the signal with another device in the same location. A weak signal (or interference from neighbors for those living in more dense surroundings) can also be a source of an interrupted signal.

We go out for Thanksgiving and Christmas. There are usually a few relatively decent restaurants that serve dinner on both of those days. Cherryfizz, I agree it's hard when families are gone on the holidays. I have many happy memories of family holidays in years' past - but all of those family members are now deceased. We don't really have any family to celebrate holidays with anymore. So we first tried eating at home by ourselves (it's just my spouse and me) - but for us, it felt even more sad to be home alone than surrounded by other people. So now we go out and eat a nice meal somewhere. It's usually a somewhat overpriced meal because most places charge a premium for meals on those 2 holidays....but we pick places that have good food anyway. Holidays can be hard. There is no right or wrong answer. For us, we're better off going out than sitting home with just the 2 of us.

I think you just have to keep checking the airline site...If you don't have a set date and can be flexible, rates can be very good...I usually take AirTran because of the flexiblilty but the last time, I did go USAirways...Being a frequent flyer, if you stay with one airline, you can build up miles...I've flown, round trip to Florida from Pa. for $7.00........

I usually fly Delta and my trip to Virginia from PC, Fl. was free because of my FF points.

I just booked couple weeks ago, flights to Ft Lauderdale. I signed up for all these alerts for price drops, spent quite a bit of time, especially on Tues-Wed evenings, and also Sunday evenings for price changes.

I finally chose the airline, Delta this time, cause of the flight schedule, and after a period of time, they just weren't going to drop their prices, so I booked.

Sure glad the ordeal is over until the next time.
