Went to Atlanta today and signed up for American Idol!! We are so excited for her!

Some of you will remember she's the girl that sang at Ronnie's (my husband) funeral last year and if Liz was here, she would tell you that Eirene did a wonderful job...even though it was VERY emotional for her!!

Auditions are Thursday..and if you've got any thoughts & Prayers to send that way, we sure would appreciate it!!!!!

What about them makes you say they are unreliable? After my order was placed it took a few days to get an email from the woman who operates the business and when she did I was informed that one of the varieties I ordered was out of stock, no big deal as I was refunded that amount. It took maybe a week and a half to two weeks for my order to arrive. When it did arrive there was a packet of freebies and that made me happy. There may have been a slight lapse from when I ordered till I got confirmation of my order, perhaps the shipping took a little longer than expected but from what I gather Amishland seeds is pretty much ran by this one lady and a few of her friends/farm enthusiast/farmers when they have the time to lend a helping hand. Now if your talking about seed germination rates or something like that then I will not be able to comment till spring time.

My mother passed away April 13th 2022. she raised me and my sister, as a single mother. she worked 2 jobs to ptovide for us, but we took her for granted as children. When the mother of my 2 children passed away in 2016, my mother moved in with us. My mother helped raise my daughter(16 now) and my son(15 now) for almost a decade. My mother was more than just my best friend, she was my only friend. i have complex PTSD, and she was the only one that i trusted enough to talk about the war with… she went with me to the VA, when i had to. she gave me strength, she always seemed to understand things that other people either couldnt or didnt want to understand… my dog died about a month before my mother did… 2022 has taken a lot from me and my 2 children… they saw her as a mother, as much as me… i go from feeling numb to feeling deep sadness and loss… i don‘t want to give up, but i always needed her support. she died from cancer, after being on immunotherapy for 2 years… she suffered from many side effects, for most of her treatment. she became so thin near the end that it was painful to see her like that… i was with her until the end, and it may sound strange but i held her for some time after she died and just sobbed onto her… i talk to her still thst she is dead for months, but i still wake up thinking that she is alive… i beli my mother is in heaven, but selfishly i just want my mom back… i miss my only friend… i miss the only selfless person that i ever met… i feel so empty, and i did not think that id feel so lost… she gave me direction when i didnt know what to do… i hope this posts, it does give comfort to know that i am not a

What a lovely tribute to your relationship! It speaks volumes that she would want you to fill this very special role. But IMO, you already have a Very Special Role as MOTB and also a Very Big Job helping her put together the wedding. If you're having the whole traditional shebang, then the MOH also has a pretty big job, and the two jobs together would be enough to drive most women over the edge. In fact either job alone is frequently enough to do the trick! Can you really see yourself throwing her the bachlorette party? And there are ettiquette issues that come into play if you want to throw her a shower. And would the other bridesmaids your daughter's age have as much fun with a 'parent' always around? Just points to consider. But if the wedding isn't going to be one where the above considerations apply, then just relax and enjoy your dual roles.

I get a message it cant be opened because of a corrupt or incorrect file type and its reccommended I cancel the download cause it wants to save in my computer somewhere? I did look up the lyrics online yesterday because I couldn't hear it and what I read was VERY beautiful!!!! I wish I could hear it sung!

Me too,Leslie! I've only watched AI ONE time and that was because I almost felt UN-American because I didn't!! lol She's pretty excited and nervous! Even if she doesn't make it, she deserves a HIGH-5 for trying!*S*

Leslie...she's going to sing "I Have Nothing" by Whitney Houston. Eirene is white, but she's got that unique "soul" going on! You might have noticed it in the CD I sent you! I'll be surprised if she doesn't do better than Whitney!!! lol

Oh I noticed she has a lot of soul. I still love and play that CD all the time. I thought she might be Hispanic. I know she'll do great. And just think. When she becomes famous, I'll have one of her very first CD's.

I am SO sorry! I forgot to post! She didn't make it..least not that time! She's going back in January and try again. The night before the try-outs she did karaoke at a place here in town (to practice). Practicing seemed like a good plan at the time..but she she probably put too much strain on her vocal chords. They DID tell her she really really needed to come back in Jan!!

I'll keep you posted as it gets closer!!
