don't they make replacement covers for countertop iron boards any

I can't find a replacement cover for my small ironing board- don't they make them anymore? Me, being me- I hate to waste a perfectly good ironing board even though they are cheap- just another thing that would go to the landfil...

Anybody know where I can find one?

I had one of those small boards -- never saw a replacement cover. How is your sewing? You could probably make one using the one that's on now as a pattern. Or else just find a piece of fabric (heavy cotton is best) and securely pin it to the existing cover. That will serve the purpose if all else fails.

Mine is the kind that's built into the wall--it's small--is that the size you're looking for? Check hardware stores and homecenters, I'm sure I've seen the covers somewhere, because I remember thinking I should pick on up, but I was watching my pennies that week and didn't.

Thank you for all the feedback! I just didn't know what to expect since I was getting this conflicting information. I have to admit that my gut is that I will get a better end product if there are no countertops in place when the templating is done, and that is how fabricator number two (my preferred one)operates. Good suggestions on asking why it takes so long after the templating is done to get the counters installed, especially since the material is right here in town already, and the fabricator only needs to go over to the yard to pick it up. I can more easily see living for three weeks without countertops than the sink (and as my husband said, if there is no sink there is also no dishwasher!). Since we plan to reuse our sink, I think I am going to talk to them about the possiblity of leaving the sink in as someone else here did. I appreciate the personal stories and the advice.

It's our funky bar that's running us into problems, too. Per dh's measurements, which I will say looked GREAT..we were given an estimate of $750 for the product alone. This was on the low end, cheapest edge. But, with installation it put us around $1400. Dh is very handy and does a lot of DIY stuff. But, with all the angles we have on our counter, and this bar he's very hesitant. If you're off even 1/16 of an inch, you could be screwed if you're doing it yourself. Because you're liable for the measurements. If we have them install, they'll come out and measure and anything that goes wrong, falls on them. But, more for labor then the product, UGH. That kills me. I kind of like the idea of trying the paint thing myself. That'll buy us some time till next yr when we can do the Hi-mac that we like so well. It's around $2200 and not in the budget right now. But, spending $1400 just to get something I really don't like. Because the color of the stuff I have now doesn't match my new paint, seems a waste.

hockeymom10 Sorry I didn’t get back to you sooner, I was on vacation! My kitchen cabinets are painted with Behr’s cabinetry paint and the color is Iron Mountain. We bought the sink at the same place we bought our countertop, Countertop Solutions, and it’s a German brand called Blanco and the color is metallic gray. It’s a double sink with a low center divide, so far I love it!

"Try different temperature LED light bulbs" You might buy one of these Commercial Electric NS01aA10ER1-259 (for example) which have selectable color temperatures. Screw the connector into a portable lamp and try several color temperatures to see if one of them makes the tile and countertop look more consistent. Maybe another wall color would help. The entire room looks rather beige now.

azzalea- Mine is the smaller countertop kind. I was just so sure I saw them at Wal-Mart- but nope...
I am in a very small town, we have 2 hardware stores- nope, again.
I tried to search online, but found none- I didn't know it was going to be so hard....
I just hate the thought of buying one when the actual 'board' is good!

I have made several covers for my sister.
What size is yours? If it is the same size as the one I have, perhaps I could make one for you at the same time I make one for myself.
But I would use whatever material I have on hand.

Check out frabric stores like Joann Frabrics. That's where I bought a cover for a regular sized ironing board. (The material was flame proof.)

Try the web site of the maker of your ironing board, but if it was made in China, good luck - You will be at the mercy of the importer.
