I tried posting a link to gardenwatchdog and got a spam alert about a week ago. That was new as I'd always posted that link before. When did they put "the other site" on the spam list? As for the original question I grow both and the small seeds are definitely snail, large squarish ones corkscrew. Unfortunately I rarely get ripe corkscrew pods even though I get loads of blooms. I posted pics of both flowers on one of J in GA's offer threads saying that they are easily identified when in bloom. He responded that his flowers looked like the corkscrew but there's no way those seeds are from a corkscrew vine, imperfect or otherwise! I never had a bad trade with the individual in question but was irritated by the note he enclosed with postage that he sent for one of my seed offers. If you want to contact me privately I'll explain. If you are still looking for this in the spring I can send cuttings. It's already been cut back and is dormant.

Noeyw - Glad to hear from you. I know what it's like to be at work and sneak peeks at the daylily forum. Post when you can. Chris - I still have Asian Fairy Bluebird in a pot, and that may be part of the problem. However, I have another Lambertson, Blue Eyes Glance, that has 8 fans and no scapes this year. Last year it had 6 mature fans and only two of them scaped. I've had that one five years and it's only bloomed one season. Some Lambertsons don't thrive in freeze and thaw winter climates like we have here. AFB may be one of them. Certulean Warbler also has 6 mature fans and no scapes this time. That's a real disappointment since it did so well last year. Debra

You could simply do searches or go through the Finished Kitchens Blog if you wish to see photos of specific types of renovations. Your request is rather broad and somewhat suspicious in nature. There are people who fish for pictures to use to advertise their businesses and you did just register today. Not to mention that there is a new home building type business that just opened in Ga. with an employee base of one by the same name as your screen name. If I'm totally off base... I apologize in advance.

Of course I will be unconventional. I believe these are seeds forming on my 'Phelan Bright'. I assume these need cross pollination, I've never seen it set seed before by itself or the other deciduous magnolias I have. There is a plain old M. X soulangeana about 100' away in a neighborhood's yard, that was in bloom at the same time. I might try growing them out even though it will take ages for them to bloom. Yes you see a bit of pokeweed, it was well hidden in there and I will remove it soon. They are a scourge but I think I have gotten ahead of them this year and hopefully the seedling count will be smaller next year.
