Hi joann, I can try to help, I have not ever messed with that 9" version of the Novel, I know it came with Android 2.0, have you been checking the pandigital site for firmware updates, I know the one I had there were firmware updates listed on the website. Since that novel does not come with android market loaded you will need other options for getting your apps, this is a good article with some options for you Google Android Market Alternatives and must have e-reader applications I would also get the getjar app so that you can get apps from there and the amazon app store app to get apps from there also. You will have to go into your settings and make sure you have checked to allow 3rd party or other app stores to install on your PDN. As to where it is storing your apps, I keep special apps on all of mine that let me select where to put each app I aquire, there is an option that lets you select to move app to SD card. I have not used android 2.0 in so long I am not sure where but there is that option in your android settings, If you do not have a file manager app that would be one thing to get so you can keep track of all your apps and downloads and have the ability to move them. I use Astro file manager mostly. The app called apptosd is one that will tell you with each app if it can be moved to the sd card that makes it very easy. There are several apps with that name app 2 sd most are pretty much the same this one here is on amazon market MoveApps - App 2 SD Free this is a different one at getjar APPtoSD Once you have made sure you have that setting set for allowing 3rd party apps you can go here to get the getjar app which will then allow you to download and install apps from there. GetJar app is available for download from here. click on that green here and it will take you to the install for that app store install that then you can access getjar for lots of great apps.(be sure you are doing this directly from the PDN browser and with a good full charge or plugged in) here is the one for amazon app store Go to this link follow it down to the bottom you see the green blocks to download and install the app. Download Amazon Appstore Android apk file: or you can click on the other block that says direct install either one will get you the amazon app store app then you can access the amazon app store for lots of apps. get the Dolphin HD web Browser via one of the alternative Android Markets and install the Youtube search plugin. Likely the people that are saying they are watching movies have downloaded movies to an SD card and are watching them that way it works very well for that. On some of the PDN's you could open the back and change out the stock mini SD card that came with it and put up to a 32GB one inside and then you of course can use up to a 32GB one externally. I do not know about that one you have.
