you should really really stay away from that site it has a very bad reputation. It is a RED listed WOT site if you were using WOT as I recommend everyone do you would not be able to go to the site it would be blocked. Just to see how bad it is here is their WOT report card, 9 pages of complaints and many are about malicious content and trojans iwon.com Not to mention that site is listed at malwaredomain which should mean do NOT go there. Of course what came back to me was all the wonderful stuff written by the website itself. Thank you for supplying the missing link, kudzu9. Looks like I shall be installing WOT. Teflon used in cookware becomes a potential toxic issue ONLY when its decomposition temperature is actually reached over an extended period of time. Last I heard that was at 750 degrees when the thermal decomposition point actually takes place. You really would have to abuse your cookware for this to occur. The seasoning on cast skillets likewise will thermally decompose and produce toxic carbon monoxide. Again, you really have to abuse your cast iron cookware for that to occur. Your charcoal barbecue pit releases toxic carbon monoxide too. But, you have to use your pit indoors for that to be a problem. Abuse a gas barbecue pit and it too will release harmful gases. I tend to follow manufacturer's instructions for their products; so, I have a reasonable amount of confidence that I will avoid those harmful situations. Hard Anodizing was developed to electrochemically harden and passivate aluminum surfaces. Hard Anodizing in cookware makes the cooking surface less reactive to the acids and bases associated with cooking (makes it less corrosive). Teflon is so slippery that special treatments are needed to get it to stick to any cookware product.......hard anodization is one such treatment used to get it to stick to the pan's cooking surface. I'm not sure that all Hard Anodized cookware products are necessarily non-stick. Dan

Yes. You must be a Firefox user. Mid afternoon [EST] today, FF blocked the use of WOT...disabling it with a lengthy explanation that they consider the latest version of WOT to be a threat to FF user security. I don't have the report save for it. It said something to the effect that WOT forwarded users info to other apps that FF couldn't protect against. I'm a long time FF browser user and I've never seen them do this before today. Personally...I appreciate their cautious behavior but not everyone may. I haven't tried...but even if you load the WOT tool again...I doubt FF will allow it. You'll more than likely have to change browsers.
