Would a heating pad help? I know its hot down there but maybe it would make the pain go away for awhile?

Sorry Stace! I wouldn't want that type of pain, I've heard about it.

It would help but can't find mine i have 2 so can't justify buying another cuz I put them int he black hole in my house where things never return LOL so I have been using my sinus mask thing and heating it up in the microwave....if we didn't have all this other stuff that is broken (a/c units) i would buy another one but trying to not spend money...i will make it...just being a baby right now.....will call the doc at 9 in the a.m...I sooo want to be one of those people that can do pain.........but sadly I am a baby.........Stacy

I do this all the time... all you just need is a towel, plastic bag and a microwave. I do slip it in a pillowcase when I use it though, so there is something between the plastic and me..

I am assuming you have no house phone so you can call your cell phone and listen for the ring? I am in the same boat. I lost mine last month and it drove me crazy. Two solutions:

1. Go over to a neighbor's house and tell them to call your cell phone until you answer. If they get your voice mail, tell them to hang up and call again until you can locate the phone and answer it.

2. Download Skype and call your phone yourself and 'leave a message'. That's what I finally did. When my phone has a message, I get an occasional beep, so I figured I could walk around the house and hear it. Skype is free to download. I think you get a call or two free, but after that you have to buy call time in $10 increments. Not too expensive when you are desperate!

I do not have a way to leave a voice message via my computer, so what I did was call my phone and wait for the part where I leave a message. At that point I used the keypad on the screen and just clicked on a random number key 4 or 5 times. That is enough to make your cell phone think it's an actual message, and generate the beep to notify you that you have a message. That is how I found my phone....in the laundry basket!! :)

Could have been worse.LOL.My sister was sick last week with what they said was the flu(swine flue)She said she had never been soooooooooooo sick in her life.Her dr didn't want her to have any direct contact with the rest of the family,so she stayed in her room.Said she had hallucinations and the whole 9 yds.Anyway she got sick on her bedspread,and had to call her dd in to get it and wash it.Said she carefully folded it so dd wouldn't get any on her,as she put it in the machine.

Later on dd opened her door and said Mom,your phone got washed!! Luckily it was the cordless and they have 2 others,so all was ok.

As they say Sh** happens,of course it's always at the wrong time,not that there is a right time.

My neurologist told me to take 4 Advil if I throw my neck out again. He said 4 Advil equal one prescription form pill of Motrin.

Would you consider buying an alarm clock? I don't use the cell phone for anything BUT a phone. And I'd never give up my corded house phone, I'd give up my cell phone first.

Stac I know how you feel.I too can not bare pain.I layed on a heating pad for 3 weeks because I didn't have the extra money to go to the dr because lighting struck our new air condititon greg just purchase and we have such a big ded,if we file on homeowners insurance.So I didn't go to the dr.I took motrin but the dr wanted me to come in for a shot for my sciatic [cannot spell the word] nerve.It hurt so bad I cried.Since my doctor is not on our insurance plan I pay 75.00 each time I go and still leave there oweing a balance.So I say all this to let you know I do know what you went thur or is going thur.I hope you get relief for your pain and things get better for you.Hang in if you can dear friend and I will be praying for you.Before I end let me add this.Our centeral air has been torn up for a while ,and it will cost so much to fix it.So we been using fans and this new air condition greg bought that lighting struck. Greg went last week after this happen, purchase another new aircondition.It is small and only cools one room and man is it hot.So see I feel for you.

So....are you sure he found it...or did he have it and know how upset you were and "pretended" to find it :o) yes, I have a devious mind, but I actually saw a neighbor man do this one time only in more dire circumstances and he was being mean.

Stacy, you might try an ice pack instead of the heat. Or nuke a sock full of regular rice, not minute rice. Just tie the end shut. Hope you got a hold of your DR this morning. May you be pain free soon. Next time, tell Brian to use his OWN phone for an alarm!

Thanks guys....my friend gave me to loritabs last night I took one last night and one this morning about 7...Called the doc....she is out for 2 weeks and since it has been over a year since she saw me she would have to see me....soooo since we are too having so many issues with things breaking and getting them repaired I will just suffer....it is a little better this afternoon and think I will try ice..since it is so flipping hot anyways.....Stacy
