it looks like a romance novel...

it;s free! lol

and I believe it lists other free books too.

I'm on Facebook and subscribe to booklending.com (not available in Canada, but I'm patiently waiting), as well as Ereader News Today. It gives links to 2 or 3 sites that let you know about free to cheap books from Amazon as well as one or two other sites:

one of my fave sites is www.feedbooks.com and they offer books in kindle format all free, I have a lot of books on my kindle for pc from there and I get the epub version for my Pandigital. I just posted a list of new free kindle books on the thread here titled Pandigital and Nook owners so check that out. you can also sign up at amazon and they will email you with info when they add new free books to their free kindle books list. free Kindle books

Thanks for the heads up, Nandina. I do get daily emails from several sites with free books, but passed this one by because I didn't think it sounded interesting. But I downloaded it on your recommendation. However, I had already trashed the email, so just went to Amazon and under the "Books" heading, typed in the name. The Kindle version did not come up as free. Then I went to the Kindle store and typed in the book name. This time it came up as free and I snagged it. Just thought I'd share. Don't know why the discrepancy, but make sure you check under the Kindle Store heading, not just books. And sometimes free books aren't even free for a whole day. Sometimes it's just hours. Gotta jump!

Raymond Benson--he's an excellant author, with a lot of prestigious credentials. But how weird is this? I got the first Black Stiletto book free (maybe 2-3 weeks ago?), NOW it seems to be 2.99! Must have caught Amazon on the right day--LOL. Still, I'd say it was worth the price.

I have an IPad2 and can download from Kindle, Kobo, and other sites. Thanks, I just downloaded it.

I just finished reading that book and enjoyed it, although it was a little over the top with some of the things they endured on the ship or managed to do.

Amazon always has a lot of free books available and some are real dogs and some are very good. A lot of the time they offer the first in a series book free and that entices you to buy the others in the series. I have only done that once, so far.
