Another Question For Readers

Is anyone familiar with Debbie Macomber, the author? I've heard her books are really good & easy reading. Any comments would be appreciated, as always.

I've read almost all of her recent books. They are great, I haven't been disappointed yet.
I just picked up one at a garage sale called Sooner or Later, I was surprised to see it was written like over 10 years ago! LOL

Here is a link that might be useful: Debbie Macomber

Nodakgal - Have you ever read a book by her called "Changing Habits" about 3 girls who join a convent & then leave? Thanks for any info.

Zone 4a and this will be my fifth year doing this. I start around new years, typically with hardy perennials in my zone, shurbs/trees and seeds that i don't really care about (e.g. old seeds). I typically wait until late February to start putting out a lot of my annuals, and I leave the following til the end of march or early april: zinnias sunflowers ornamental millet abutilon dolichos lablab morning glories 4 o'clocks cosmos and pretty much anyhting tropical in origin Most of these will sprout if sown earlier, but their foliage is sufficiently tender that I lose them in the cold nights we have earlier in the winter/spring. If I wait til then, they typically don't pop til mid april or later and i typically don't have to worry about the seedlings freezing then.

yes Casi the pandigital takes the epub format it can not read the kindle format unless of course you have installed the kindle android app onto the pandigital. anytime you get any book from amazon you have to use your amazon account so you have to be logged into your amazon account that is what it is asking for , even though the book is free it will go through the transaction just like you are buying it but the price will be zero, they will also email you to your associated email and provide the "bill" copy. You can use a program like calibre to change the format from kindle to epub and use it that way. Many times barnes and noble have the same free books as amazon but they are already in epub format.

I love Susan Elizabeth Phillips' books (I'm 79). There is some sex in there but not overly descriptive and they are also funny, a good combination. She has a football series that is hilarious and one not of the series called "First Lady" about a woman whose dead husband was President and one named "Breathing Room," about a business woman and a movie star.

I always picture her as about 5'4" with a square-shaped face, large brown eyes and short brown hair. I think of her as muscular, but with curves, so that she is more of a fit size 10 or 12 rather than a skinny, lanky size 4 or 6. Maybe she looks somewhat like Laura San Giacomo.

I have read some of her books but was so disappointed in the last one. I was on vacation and picked it up at a flea marker and was enjoying it very much until it just ended and would be continued in her next book that would be coming out in the coming months...I've read series books but none that just ended and you had to buy the next one to find out what happened...
