I'd lve to see you Mamacita's rice recipe, pretty please!

I cooked ground meat and mushrooms, made it into gravy. Put that over a boiled potato. Instead of a vegetable side dish, I had a cup of the vegetable soup I made today.

That raspberry ice cream would have been the perfect topper for my meal.

I have some Spring vegetable soup left over and we're having tuna melts with it.

Spent all day in the kitchen. Made a rhubarb cake out of the last of my step-father's rhubarb. Tried a new chicken dish for dinner, made orzo with roasted veggies and a wild and brown rice salad. And 2 loaves of honey-whole wheat bread.
Everything was perfect. Hubby said I "Nailed it today."

Good for you, Jasdip. Glad one of us had good results with a new recipe! On a scale of 1 to 10 I'd give our dinner a 3. I hate when that happens!! The chicken was okay but the rice had no flavor at all. I just bought the cumin and have only had the saffron a few months. I used extra garlic, even. I was so disappointed :-( The ice cream was the store brand (W-D) and didn't taste anything like raspberry--it was sort of yellowish color with chocolate-covered sugar cone bites in it. Looked more like peach than raspberry and tasted like nothing but sweet.

Glenda, do you still want the rice recipe? I'll post it if you do. We should've eaten out! Sigh!!

Shirley, I got some really nice portabellos at the store today. Your dinner may be my dinner soon :-)

How was your golf tournament, Georgysmom. I'm sure it was a big success overall, but how did you do? OH--I have a question for you. You posted a recipe for a dish using ditalini and I bought the pasta, but now I can't find what file the recipe is in. If you could just tell me a main ingredient other than the pasta then I will know where to look. TIA!

KFC...2 wings,baked beans and slaw. I worked outside all day with DD#2 and DD#3 helping a good bit so I declared the kitchen closed for lack of energy or interest. Tasted good too.

The tournament is still going. Tuesday is the last day. I did well the second day. I had two bad holes...if not for them I would have been outstanding, but still had a good score. I need an outstanding day on Tuesday to win but as long as I play well enough to enjoy myself, I'm happy. I enjoyed myself Thursday. LOL You can find the recipe you're looking for if you search Shrimp pasta salad. It's in the I'll share my recipe if you share yours post. If you have any trouble finding it, let me know. I'll repost it. It's easy and I think good. I'm too lazy to get up right now and get it. I'm saving myself.... I have another golf tournament today.
