Why doesn't it look like the picture on the package??

I just fixed a microwave meal and I'm sorry, what I'm eating does not look anything like the picture on the box. I don't like fake food anyway, but don't feel like a lot of cooking since surgery. I am so disappointed - makes me want to get out the frying pan!

If the picture on the box accurately depicted a micromeal, no one would buy them. Some taste okay, all look a little strange. Hope you feel better soon and get back to cooking!

Yeah, doesn't the picture look appetizing while the actual meal looks........."nuked"?

I don't have a copy of Vertrees in front of me, so I cant tell you for sure, but if Villa Taranto came off a particular branch of a different cultivar, it's possible that it reverted back to that cultivar. I notice the leaves are green. In sun they'll have more color on them.

i guess back in the day.. i just grew the plain old red annual salvias .... and not en masse ... maybe the purple/blues when they became the rage ... i simply wasnt aware there were any fragrant ones ... the ones in the pix above.. look more towards the herb family type... rather than the neat little soldiers i used to have ... obviously it is a giant family ... with many sub related kin ... learn something new every day.. thats why i enjoy GW ... ken

Good suggestions here. I do like the color though! It doesn't look like mud. :) I do think you need more color contrast. The gray pillow looks too similar in color to the comforter. It's like you tried to match and it didn't work. Either try removing it, or replacing with something that ties into the rest of the room. I'm guessing the right color is not gold here, but something more related to rest of the room or perhaps white with some of the same dark colors in it. The floral pillows in front don't do anything for me personally but if you like them, keep them.

Pine is soft wood, so the softer areas of the wood will absorb more stain in comparison to the harder areas and the results could have a huge color variation. Before staining pine the wood must be conditioned to avoid what grain reversal. Using wood conditioner helps to achieve a more even finish. It's a process when staining pine and if you skip the necessary prep steps and just apply stain to the raw wood you can end up with dark blotches.

I eneded up with a 1/2 bowl of cereal...

I've lost a few lbs since surgery and I'm trying so hard not to get back into old habits. It's not the weight as much as it's how I feel. I don't feel as heavy. Either way, I'm hungry, so I'll find something later.

I agree, most are disgusting. But I'm here to tell you one that is good! Healthy Choice Steamer Bowls. They have pasta with meat and vegie sauce. It comes in a complicated looking microwave bowl, with the sauce in the bottom and the pasta above in a strainer kind of bowl. Microwave, then pour the pasta into the sauce. They are actually very, very good.

So sorry you don't feel good I like the (and the only one) Marie Callenders beef tips and noodles...not healthy at all got hooked on it after my hystro and now i need to lose 20 lbs...LOL hope you feel better soon.....stacy

I once watched a documentary on what they used (little or no food involved) in making pictures for the outside of the box of foods. And also for the pictures for places like McDs, Burger King, etc. It was truly gross.
