I'm going to look for a poly one to expand my little shade tub garden. And I need another one for the lotus. And another one for tropicals (I forgot about your tropicals, Catherine!) and also for the plants that the fish find too tasty. Above ground is the way to go for me. I can get nose to nose with my babies plus the neighbor dogs can't get in to take a swim. I expect I'll have to drain the smaller ones but my 8 foot can be the winter home for most of the plants. I am going to have to prune off some pads, though. The poor fishies can't find me when I bring the food but I just hate to pinch off a perfectly beautiful pad! The fish think it's neat when I get my arm all the way in there to pinch them off, though. Fish manicure! I've got a nice pad drying between some weighted boards like you dry flowers but it seems a little juicy to work. Anyone try that? Oh, Goldtrap, mine's only been up since last summer but no problems with the metal yet. The ranchers here leave them out for years with out a problem so I don't see why we can't. Vanessa

Margret what is a Zansibar? A kind of castor bean variety? If so, I only know that they are red castor bean plants. No name :-( Daniella mom's don't exaggerate roflmao I really did not plan for it to come back. But you watch out. NOw that one did and I am trying to make them come back. It will not work lol Karyn the ones I had planted or they reseeded themselves this year. Did just not grow tall at all. Don't know why. I had them all over and in different places and conditions. Ellie - I don't have Blue Pink Beauty, but I have a lot of other Stamile pinks. Shores Of Time and Chartered Course are my favorites, closely followed by Absolute Treasure, Lyrical Presence and My Girl. I tend to like the brighter shades of pink the best. The older ones like Seminole Wind, Chance Encounter and Follow Your Dreams do very well here too. Sierra Grande and In Search of Angels have not increased well, but the flowers are so pretty they get to stay. I got Madiba Magic last year and haven't decided whether I like the bloom yet. The bloom shape is strange, although the color is nice and the fans double scape. When I first saw Ricter bloom here, it was a very light pink with nice ruffles. The bud count was very low during its first bloom and then nothing last year. I almost gave it away because I'm so out of room. Hopefully this year it will really strut its stuff and I'll fall in love with it. Debra

I've taken a few night shots too with old camera and look forward to trying it with this one. The macro with this camera is 150 cm (W) (0.4 in.Â1.6 ft. (W)). I was right down on the flowers. There is a lot to read in these manuals, I just plod along and practice. It's a learning experience and a fun one at that. treefrog ~ I've also tried to capture the color of the blue sage with old camera and never could. There are a couple of roses I had the same trouble with, so I hope they come out truer with this new camera as the blue sage did. Evelyn ~ You are so right about picture taking being addicting, almost as addicting as some flowers are. : -) Ambersky ~ I looked up what you thought the purple unknown might be and I'm not sure. Someone else told me something else and that didn't quite look right either. I'll try to get out tomorrow to take a picture of leaves and flowers so you all can see the whole thing. You could be right though. Nancy ~ It is a long time isn't it? I think of you everytime I'm around the two roses you gave me, Smith's Parrish, and I think the name of the other one is Old Blush, which is in the main garden and doing terrific.
