In the back two pans it's just some old recycled soil but the more brownish-redish soil is a fine cypress mulch mixed with my own compost about a 2-1. I use a little sand for extra drainage too.

Just for size reference Buddy weighs 14 lbs and Kissy weighs 3.5 lbs.Never weighed Spitz but he's one heavy cat! He's the one I fished out of my pond at about 5 wks of age.

Don't you know, once you name them, they are your's......So glad he's adjusting and the other fur kids will also adjust...We had 1 cat for the longest time, then another and at one time at 4..Each time it does take some time for the "oldies" to get used to a new family member... Just last week, my daughter called from her Post Office and someone had dumped 2 kittens on the door step...So we have 2 new ones in the laundry room until they are vet checked and "fixed"...Then they are going to a grand daughter but it's going to be hard giving them up...There's just something about little fur babies cuddling on your lap!
