Where to find gift bags for a large present?

We purchased a king size comforter set from Bed, Bath and Beyond as a wedding gift. Their free gift wrap was purple plastic and a purple ribbon. It's not very nice and I'm hoping to do better. I picked it up at the store and it didn't come in a box, just one of the zippered plastic comforter bags so if I try to wrap it in paper I won't get crisp folds. Plus my husband has to take it into work so I'd like to make it attractive plus easy to carry.

Does anyone know where I could buy a large gift bag? I can check at my local Hallmark or maybe the Container Store tomorrow. The gift measures 20 x 20 x 10.

the biggest ones I have found were at Home Depot.

I've seen really large bags at the Dollar Tree. Nice looking too for $1.00!

Thanks for all the ideas! I will share this with my DH tomorrow. In the meantime, I came up with some rhyming lines, but not sure they all go together. If anbody wants to add or change this to make it better, please do... Santa is working hard this year to give you a gift that will bring great cheer. As long as I didn't have to clean up the mess of the shredded paper, I didn't mind wrapped. I kind of enjoyed wrapping gifts. But I do think it's a waste of money and other resources. Better to use the comics or something. You can get creative in wrapping. My sister was the first to start using bags and cheapo that I am, I'd save and reuse them. We'd give the same bag back and forth. Now I use the reusable shopping bags more and more for gift bags. It's an extra gift in itself. As far as what I'd prefer to receive? An envelope. Stuffed with cash. Large denominations. As I've said before, THERE'S a thoughtful gift! You may wrap it in money if you want. Or use cash for the tissue too if you like. Christmas is approaching. Feel free to send anytime. It's cheaper to ship too!

I always have trouble with the boys-- my db and bils. I got them all yeti coffee tumblers. I ordered the 30 oz size and laughed when they arrived because they were so ridiculously big. One of the orders ended up being delayed so I bought another locally and when the package arrived, I kept it for myself-- I use it ALL the time! I love the big size and while they do keep coffee warm, they are even better at keeping drinks cool! I now have 4 of them for myself! some other ideas.. a milk frother, cards against humanity, nostalgic candy from their childhood, lens cleaning cloth/cleaner, travel pepper grinder (one of my fav gifts ever), a new or favorite book, an artisan cocktail book, stone drink cubes, heirloom beans or rice, battery tester (I just had a conversation about how I need to get one-- I always used my tongue!)

We also do bags for odd shaped items, but mostly we do paper because we're coming off 7 years of elementary school gift wrap fund raisers... I joke with DD that her kids are going to get gifts wrapped in some of that paper. I've vowed to not buy anymore paper until we use up what we have. So no theme, except paper we like. In our family, particularly with DH's family, we tend to recycle the gift bags and the same ones turn up year after year. It's sort of fun to see the same ones again and again, though sometimes hard to make a call that one needs to be culled and recycled.

That is too bad about the poor quality wrap job! My daughter works at Bed, Bath & Beyond, and one of her tasks is to gift wrap things. She's VERY good at it!

Try Michael's or Hobby Lobby for large gift bags.

I've found the largest ones at the 99 cent store and Dollar Tree. They look just as nice as the more expensive ones.

I have got really tall ones at Dollar Tree but they are not deep in the bottom so not sure something really thick like a comforter would fit, you will need one that has a very deep wide bottom not just tall. The ones I got at Home Depot were deep and wide enough to hold something like that. I guess they carry them to hold all the big tools and stuff??

I have also found some decent size ones at Big Lots.

Home Depot is one I never would have thought of! I'm stuck in the house waiting for Sears to return with a part for my washer. So I'm going to try calling these places.
