I came to terms with this years ago -- I stopped trying to do everything and now just do what I can when I can do it, and I try my best not to bite off more than I can chew (although admittedly it still happens sometimes). Someone wisely told me years ago that the most important tool in the toolbox is the checkbook - and I agree with that wholeheartedly. I work full time and am in grad school - those are more important than my garden and take precedence. If I have to pay to have something done that needs to be done, so be it (I am working as is my husband, and I do realize I am fortunate in this, work is most definitely a blessing). At this point in my life I refuse to spend my precious free time fretting over things that are waiting for me to do. Of course there are seasonal chores, but if they don't get done, so what? What's the worst that's going to happen if I don't clean up the garden in the fall? So I'll have to clean up in the spring. Big deal. My annuals didn't get planted until June. So what. They got in the ground late, but they're fine. So what if you lose some of your seedlings? You can sow more. It took me years to cultivate this attitude, and IT IS FREEING. 2" in rim joists should really be 3". 2" of foam on ceiling..clarify please is this like on the attic floor & blown or batts to be added over foam? otherwise 2" isn't anything..big R-7 at BEST. if it is 2" on roofline...what is that supposed to achieve? it just isn't clear...to me what is being offered. keep in mind with foam companies part of the charge is built in for time to set up, mix to heat & hoses to heat up. the extra product (ie 3" vs 2") is just that ...product. doubling the amount of product doesn't double price. If foam co is being honest with you. shop around. I doubt 100 hours labor, 3 guys @ $15 each shouldn't take a week and a half to install sheathing. builder probably did quick calc of $x for foam sheathing = $xx X 2 for labor = 10k. in my area no one uses foam sheathing over 1" thick, so I don't know costs of thicker foam sheathing. but do some price checking. best of luck

Well apparently I stink at this and don't see issues with furniture. :p I guess I need to work on that. Looking at these few now. This is kind of a walk through Boop's learning how to buy used furniture thread or furniture in general I Think. I like this set from Vanguard. I think I read that is a decent name. I don't know why but I really like the warmth of the orange. It says Best offer and is from furniture land south. I have no idea what is reasonable to offer. I really like these, but I think the arms might be too high for everyday use.... These look too lumpy right? this is a pair of Baker sofas. Good price I think. Velvet, but I love that and the price is so good I think I could deal with that and the cleaning or recovering the cushions at some point. To the person who said I was all over the place it is true. There is really nothing I am married to in this room ATM besides The IKEA birch expedit shelves and the TV. Well and the brick fireplace (we are thinking of putting in a pellet stove there) I am planning to paint the walls BM windswept. I think it will go with many colors and the kitchen which this room is open to. We currently have a sofa and loveseat. The sofa is shot (very ripped, not worth repairing I think) and the loveseat is OK. A cheap set overall.

But it's a very relaxing night-time ritual; my brain is tired from working on the computer all day. Sitting in a big easy chair while watching HGTV, posting photos and categorizing kitchens is actually fun! And it keeps me busy so I don't order things on amazon. :-) I had tried to create a new FKB similar to Houzz where you could upload your own photos but it got to be too complicated and I was so busy working on the new site that I didn't add any new kitchens to the existing FKB. (Maybe in the future.) For now I'm the only person who can make updates. So just send me an email (starpooh at gmail dot com) with a link to your new photos and I will update them.
