Stupid and ridiculous come to mind! It would serve her right if the baby needed to "spit up" all over the dress during the ceremony. I think for a 1 month old baby it's being exposed to a lot, how clean is that floor after all those people have tracked who knows what across it, not to mention that's a lot of people that baby is being exposed to.

Stupid, stupid....worse than stupid, actually. I hope they didn't give the baby "a little something" to keep it from crying and ruining the effect.

Just really stupid was my thought. Who puts a baby next to the floor close to feet and shoes, and was her bouquet so important she couldn't have exchanged it for the baby, carried it? Could the groom have carried the baby, or maid of honor?

I cannot imagine what that woman was thinking. Look at my gorgeous dress, and flowers, my perfect day, and oh yes, my baby tied to my hem and dragging along behind, don't want it to spoil any vision of myself as a bride entering the church ;).

Beautiful dress, awful idea to put the baby on the dress. I can see one of the bridesmaids pulling a wagon all decked out with the baby amid ruffles like is in the train. But pinning the baby to the train is just plain stupid and dangerous

She got just what she wanted: Attention. Poor baby, attached to an incongruous "virginal white" wedding gown.

A month old baby is pretty much at the mercy of anything that happens. Germs from coughs, shoes, etc. Being dragged along the floor is just not a good idea.
And the bride, it might be for the rest of her days she will be remembered and defined, and maybe not in a good way, because of this choice.
I can see Saturday Night Live now, doing a skit of another marriage three years from now after divorcing this one, and the bride hauling three children.

This woman looks like the fool that she is, poor baby to born to such a brainless twit. If she makes this ridiculous error in judgment I wonder what other "motherly" decisions she will make. I fear for that poor baby. The father is suspect too in my mind for allowing this to occur. Yes, I do see SNL doing a bit on this.

News to me, but I don't follow internet gossip. Hope she becomes a laughing stock, forever.

I'm sure the baby was fine but all I can think of is why would someone do this. If the parents wanted the baby in the wedding, why not decorate a wagon of some sort and make a nice comfy bed and have someone take it down the isle. This is beyond tacky. To call it child abuse though is a stretch (at least in my mind).

Her wedding dress was fitted for the baby. So I figure she had a pad to cushion the baby and something else to hold her in. In a couple of the pictures the baby is laying in a different position so I think someone must have been taking care of that baby.
This couple is about 45 minutes from me, so its been on the news here a lot already. While I dont agree with the decision this mother made, it was her decision and the baby was not harmed. I am just tickled to see the parents getting married, that's really rare these days.

I really don't care what people do any more. This was planned as part of her wedding and she seemed pleased with the result. Baby was safe and it seemed the guests thought it was special. Is it news-worthy? Nope....but then again, 90% of what is reported is not news-worthy.

Really dumb idea! At one month of age, she needs to keep a close eye on the baby. Does she have eyes in the back of her head? Is that how little she thinks of her baby that she drags her on the floor? Pathetic!

My vision is, I just see her dress sliding to one side too far and ooops! she bumps that tiny little skull on a wooden pew. Sends shivers up and down my spine. I'd be protecting that baby with all that was within me; I'm likely not to have let it out of a seat that surrounded it with barriers even once.

Well, we don't really need another person to say how stupid this is, but here I am anyway! It's not only stupid, but it is irresponsible. Dragging a baby across the floor. Really.

Even if the floor is vacuumed, it's filthy with people walking in from the street where dogs' you-know, people spit, dusty, bird droppings, etc. Also, if someone mis-steps, stumbles, the baby could be crushed. It's reckless behavior from that "mom."

I heard about it on the radio this morning and all I could picture was a ball and chain dragging behind her.

I did attend a lovely wedding where the groom's nephew pulled a decorated wagon with the couple's baby in it - cute and appropriate...

Messed up. I don't know where common sense went to in this world. I'm not surprised, see all kinds of things at work...people letting their babies and toddlers crawl on our nasty hospital floors.

It defies logic. The baby was never in any real danger. Weddings are supposed to be before the baby. I think this poor child has idiot parents who make bad decisions.
