Do you want to have fame or fortune more? Neither. I just want to be happy and when I am gone, be remembered fondly and for all that I am. Money doesn't buy love or happiness although at times it does promote it. LOL

My best distraction are my dogs. No matter how stressed I am one sloppy wet kiss from one of them and everything is right with the world.

I find any kind of confrontation awkward. I don't like that at all..

Pretty much any celebrity is ovverrated right now.

No spotlight for me.

No fame or fortune either. I am content with what I have.

Personally I would not think there would be any long term effects, with the exception of burned marks on the wood if the cigars sat there long enough. However, anyone who set a cigar on my wooden greenhouse benches would be banished from my home (regular house and greenhouse) permanently, and might well suffer a few parting injuries on the way out the door.

The sharp point of the typical hand pruner is probably a marriage of the best overall pruning features, because homeowners generally do not purchase more than one hand prunner/type. The point allows for close positioning of the pruners to the trunk for cuts, allows better precision for delicate flower trimming, but the sturdy bypass can handle the small branches. Maybe you would be happier just buying one of the many pruners that do not have sharp points on the tip. :) They are not as common as the typically-seen bypass, but they are out there and readily available online. If the pruner you are talking about are hand pruners (rather than loppers, although loppers are available in different blade styles too), you may want to check out Ratchet Pruner 3/4-inch (RP-3230), anvil pruner (AP-3110), or one of my favorites, a form of grape shear (AG-5030). Snips and grape shears resemble oversized needle-nosed pliers and have rounded tips. The grape shears are great for quick trim work, but not the thick branches. Other gardening tool companies have their own similarly-styled tools.

Interesting that some think the single space goes back to the 80's. My daughter is only 30, which means she went to high school in the 90's, at a school that was VERY academic and highly rated, in a state that has some of the highest educational ratings in the country. It was she who brought this to my attention--with surprise--since SHE was taught to double space at the end of sentences. This is a gal who knows English, grammar, and compostion (side note--I was taught that it's a personal choice to use a comma before 'and'--either with or without is correct). She was planning on going into journalism, at one time. In college her English prof told her to skip class. Suggesting that she just take the tests and do the assignments, because the class was going to be a waste of time for her--she was way beyond what he was going to be teaching. She's also the one who all her friends ask for help composing their college and grad school theses. Judging by the number of them she's consulted on, she should have a half dozen degrees by now--LOL! Anyway, the point is, around here, this is only recently becoming the norm, apparently. And, hey--thanks for the Chick-fila comments--I agree completely!!! KFC's are all closing around here, CF's food is WAY WAY better (and the stores are cleaner!), and oh, yeah--those cows are adorable!!!

It depends on the seller and the reason the package was lost. There are only four international sellers that I trust overseas. If your seller is not using EMS (Priority Express), then the package is more likely to be held in Customs for however long Customs wants to take. With EMS, the package should not take more than a week to arrive; if it does, contact USPS and then the Customs office the package is at or destined for. If your seller is improperly declaring items (falsifying number of plants, calling plants household goods, not properly documenting the price of the goods, etc.), Customs can very well destroy the package. If your seller is sending plants without phytosanitary certificates (and you will know if they are, because they will charge you for them), Customs has every right to destroy the package. If your seller is sending the plants in dirt or any other non-approved media, or if the plants have been found to be infested with bacteria, fungus or pests upon an USDA inspection (packages are randomly pulled for USDA inspections), your package is likely to be destroyed. If your seller cannot be bothered to double and triple check that the tracking number they gave you is correct, then you might not want to do business with them. If you were able to track your packages, meaning you were able to see that they arrived at a US airport, then were "Inbound into Customs", then your tracking numbers were valid. Who is saying the tracking numbers were invalid? The parcel service used? Customs? The seller? If the tracking number was invalid, how do you know it got stuck at Customs? Did they call you? Did you call them? How did they find the packages, if they did? I would never do business with a seller who cannot be bothered to follow proper procedure regarding US import laws, nor wpuld I do business with a seller who cannot be bothered to assist me, should something go wrong, especially if they were at fault.

What is the most overrated thing/person/anything?? Any celebrity

Do you like having attention spotlighted on you? Nope

Do you want to have fame or fortune more? I'm satisfied with what I have, but to give an answer to this question, I would want fame if it is in a positive light; otherwise I'll take the fortune. :)

What is something you just find totally awkward? To try to comfort someone in sorrow(over a death, etc)

What is the most overrated thing/person/anything?? The unnecessary comments, opinions, and debates over stupid things in the political race right now--example: What did it mean when Obama did the fist bump with his wife? Who cares!!!!!!! That has nothing to do with how well he can/can't run a country.....LETS stick to the facts that are important!(Just so you know this is not a political rant-I don't mind who you vote for just VOTE--LOL)

Do you want to have fame or fortune more? I want a comfortable life where I don't have to struggle every day and wonder if I can afford gas if it goes to $5 a gallon..and what will I have to give up to afford it...

What is the best distraction in life? Would have to say the internet.

What is something you just find totally awkward? In person arguments.

What is the most overrated thing/person/anything?? There's a local town near us, that is over-priced, filled with egotistical, snobby, rich inhabitants, who think it's the ONLY place to live. Totally overrated, IMO.

Do you like having attention spotlighted on you? Love it

Do you want to have fame or fortune more? This one's so easy. Definitely fame. Was totally disappointed when I won $25,000 in one contest, and they did no publicity about the event. I've always found, in pursuing recipe contests as a hobby, that the positive recognition means far more to me than the prizes ever could.

Do you like having attention spotlighted on you? Only by close friends or family, and only for something I've accomplished, and only for a few minutes.

Do you want to have fame or fortune more? Definitely fortune.

Distraction- a good book.

Awkward- being in the same room or vehicle as a bickering couple.

Overrated- expensive, la-de-dah restaurants. It's just food. It's not worth a small fortune.

Attention- I don't go looking for it, but if it's on me, I'm OK with it.

Fame or fortune- I would love to have buckets of money. Don't want fame at all.

Children or animals.

Ironing. I always set the board up wrong and I try to iron with my left hand and the clothes facing the wrong direction. Add the fact that there is hot steam and a cord, and it is not pretty.

What is the most overrated thing/person/anything?
American Idol. I just don't get it.

What is the best distraction in life? My boys being happy in life. Next: A vacation in Montana

What is something you just find totally awkward? Dealing with my Mother in Law...without her teeth. It totally grosses me out.

What is the most overrated thing/person/anything?? Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie. I just don't get it! Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton and George Clooney also come to mind. (There are more, so maybe I should just say celebrities in general)

Do you like having attention spotlighted on you? Uhhhhh, NO. Never...a simple thank you, over a big hoopla will suffice. Being spotlighted, can reduce me to tears because I get embarrassed.

Do you want to have fame or fortune more? I would rather have fortune, so I could help all my family & friends out.

Disney World! (I'm a minority, I know, just don't enjoy it.)

Do you like having attention spotlighted on you?
Not particularly. I'm not shy, I can handle myself speaking to a large group. I'd just prefer behind-the-scenes and anonymity.

Do you want to have fame or fortune more?
I absolutely do not want fame. I don't want fortune if it comes with fame. If I can get fortune without the fame, well, I wouldn't turn that down.

Best distraction: Internet

Totally awkward: Talking about someone and they walk in and it gets deathly quiet...(why oh why dont i learn to shhhhhhh about people)

Most over-rated thing/person: Oprah(and her opinons)

Do you like attention? Im not opposed to it.

Fame or fortune: Both come with their own set of problems. People with more money just have bigger headaches and problems to deal with. Although maybe part of a fortune would be nice.
