This is the other side of the kitchen...

I like the satin nickel next to the ss appliances, but I think either could work. What finish do you have on your faucet and what color are your floors?

juddgirl2: Floors are grey porcelain tile. Faucet is chrome, which is why I'm re-thinking my hardware choice. (I strongly prefer the faucet in chrome - so I don't want to switch that to match the current hardware.)

I think the satin nickel looks good but why don't you switch out a few in polished chrome or polished nickel & see which you like best. Or you could post pics & we could all chime in.

romy718: Thanks. Tried polished nickel, but for some reason it didn't look right (against the cabinets) - polished chrome seems as though it will work (and I like it), but I'm trying to decide if it's worth the trouble (and the expense of a switch).

The satin nickel matches all your stainless appliances. I think it looks great.
BTW, I really like your countertops. Very pretty with your white cabinets & stainless appliances.

romy718: Appreciate the feedback. Agree that the current hardware matches the appliances nicely, but am concerned about the faucet (which will be polished chrome). Guess I need to wait until it's actually installed (hopefully on Monday) and go from there.

PS - Thank you for countertop compliment! Bianco Antico. Had all sorts of install issues (grr!), but am loving it now.

chrome for the faucet is nothing to worry about. The overall you have going with the gray floor and basic white cabinets/stainless is very neutral/business like. I would consider crystal faceted knobs with backplates perhaps...maybe keep the cup pulls or get slightly more delicate/decorative ones to go with crystal knobs..Just dress it up a bit more with hardware.

My color scheme is almost identical. I am also getting the Gilmore pulls and the Starlight Chrome Bridgeford faucet. I am not sure which pulls to get, but am considering the oil-rubbed bronze, just to avoid the challenge of 'matching' everything. I agree that I am sticking with the chrome for the faucet (I think it looks the most classic) and the other details will work themselves out. I don't think the faucet will be close enough to the pulls to make the difference in finish that obvious, plus, it sounds like you don't really want to make the switch : ) I also like the suggestion herbflavor made re: the crystal knobs.

I also have Bianco Antico and white cabs, and I have to say that the shiny chrome hardware and faucets look amazing. Satin nickel looks more modern and subdued. I think your instincts are right. Can you exchange for chrome?
