Has Anyone Bought Their Sink or Faucet from Homecenter.com?

Homecenter.com's prices are lower than Quality Bath, Faucet Direct, Faucet Depot. But they have not been mentioned in any of our online shopping threads here? Does anyone have experience buying from them -- good or bad? Thanks! Low prices are great, but I'm more concerned with reputable service and delivery time.

Have you checked out http://www.lowcostplumbing.com?
I bought my blanco rados and soap dish from them. It came within a week and includes free shipping. There prices are very good.

thank you for the reference, sylvia. unfortunately.they don't have my sink. :(.

as an aside, maybe it is just what i'm looking for, but it seems that sink prices vary among sites more widely than faucet prices.

We have been customers of Faucet Direct in the past, though not for a toilet, and were happy with the price and service. We are about to purchase a new toilet any day now, and like you want a skirted design. Our first criterion, however, as this will be a toilet that guests in our home use, is that the toilet flush completely and reliably without what is delicately called "streaking." For that reason, we are honing in on the Toto Vespin II, while not (yet) ruling out the new Inax Dover. Those two toilets, and a few of their siblings, are the only toilets of which we are aware that gave both Double Cyclone (Toto's name for it) or Double Vortex (Inax's name for it) flushing technology, which is a superior method of getting a full flush with low water usage, and Sanagloss (Toto's name for it) or Hyper Clean (Inax's name for it) surface treatment of the bowl's interior ceramic surface to make it super smooth and antibacterial. OK> So, I'm reading this post due to a recent experience with the plumber my GC is using for our renovation. I got a babysitter to watch my toddler so I could go look at fixtures at their showroom with my baby. So, I get there and they don't have many of the nicer brands on display- they want to show me everything in a catalog!! Well, thank you but I can do that at home. So, fine- I briefly look at the catalog and pick a few things to get prices. They gave me some pricing and I left. So- wouldn't you want to see products in person if you plan to invest nearly $2000 on them?? I dragged my two small children to another local plumbing outfit to see the higher end stuff I got quoted for at the previous place. The prices were more than $500 different!!! I mean to do I have stupid written on my head b/c I have a newborn? Do they just think I don't have time to research and will just take their price?? This mother has an MBA thank you very much. Fine. So I talked to my contractor and he said to approach them on the issue. I did. They claim their product is better quality and that you can get the same things from other dealers but they aren't as heavy... blah blah blah. That may be true for some Kohler fixtures, but not Rohl!!! And I don't even believe them at that. For the amount of money saved I can buy a whole new fixture in a few years if I decide to change it or it goes bad!! Can someone please tell me if these people are just jerking around with me?? I thought about how they may try to pad the rest of the bill if they adjust the fixture prices, so I'm not really sure what to do with this mess. This is why I do NOT trust vendors like this- b/c of dishonest people who try to make excuses for their ridiculous prices.

Hi Co-Co, You are hilarious, and you are right I do live just outside of Vancouver :) I live about 5 minutes away from the US border and what I did when I was ordering anything from the States (and you are right, the prices are considerably less) was have it delivered to a holding place in the States and then I went across and picked it up. That usually saved the shipping costs because it was usually free shipping over $100. If I remember correctly Faucet Direct didn't charge taxes. I didn't have to pay any duty but I did have to pay HST when I came through the border. The thing is if you have it shipped to Canada they automatically charge you the duty/taxes which in many cases I still think works out cheaper. Thanks for the nice comments about my kitchen :) L

oh, silvia, that was so sweet of you! i'm sorry i wasn't clear. i am looking for a specific sink, the elkay elu2115. they do not seem to carry elkay at all.
hope your granite install is going well. i know you changed from j. bordeaux - is it new venetian gold you're getting?

Granite installation is going well. They have time to install the counter and will be back tomorrow for the backsplash.

I really wanted Japarana Bordeux but I couldn't find 5 pieces I like. I have giallo veniziano instead.

It is neat to watch them do the work outside my house.
If I had known this kitchen remodelling project would go smoothly, I wouldn't need to take a week off from work.

yes i bought from the recently. the 1st order was wrong so i called to tell them. with them they won't sned out a second order free. you msut buy the second order and retunr the first order for your refund. they pay for the retunr but here's what pissed me off. they don't refund your money on the returned order for 30 business days which is crazy. no complaints ont he shipping speed are item but becasue of there return policy i'd enver buy from them again even though there prices are good

i wanted to update this for future searchers. i decided to take a chance on homecenter because. after searching several sites, they had all items i wanted both in stock and at the best prices; i did order far enough in advance to resolve any problems.

i ordered three days ago and received the faucet the next day and the sink and strainer today. everything looks in order, except they did send the wrong strainer. apparently there is a mixup with the stock number and this happened to others with the particular item. they told me to just toss it out and i should receive the right one in three days.

i will update if there are continued issues, but as of now i would use them again.
