MIx white appliances with stainless steel?
Comments (3)This might be a good time to look into getting a panelled DW to match your cupboards. someone a few weeks ago found a MW that was SS with white. Can the trash compactor be panelled also? I have white appliances, but everything on the counter is SS. Toaster oven, coffee makers, faucets, etc. Is your MW going to be built in, over the stove, on the counter...?...See Morewhite or stainless steel appliances in small kitchen?
Comments (24)You folks are all 'amazing' ~ I knew I came to the right place to get help. I thought I should post an image of my kitchen, which I should have done in the first place (but my dishes weren't done) lol. I love both the white and the stainless steel. I took a good look at my kitchen today and noticed that the microwave looks like it has yellowed over a 5 year period. The plastic panel cover on the top part of the dishwasher yellowed. And those plastic strips they put on the frames of the cupboards have also yellowed. Funny, I never noticed that before. I like the white frig with the stainless steel handles too. Thanks everyone. Here is my teensy weeny kitchen....See MoreStainless steel sink with white appliances
Comments (21)We moved into the home about a year ago; it's our 'starter home.' We will be selling and moving to a larger home in probably 3-5 years. It's a fairly small kitchen (less than 50 sq ft of counter top) in a fairly small house (~1,100 sq ft, 2 bed, 1 bath). We looked into quartz, granite, solid surface, etc. but the price hike just isn't worth it. Adding something that nice to this house won't raise the value very much. We aren't touching the cabinet, appliances or flooring either. Just replacing counter top and backsplash. The laminate (with a nice edge) and new backsplash should make the kitchen look WAY better. A picture of the current kitchen is below. You can see the sink in question as well as the counter and backsplash. Here is a link that might be useful:...See MoreStainless Steel vs Black Appliances
Comments (11)I have had both with an oak kitchen . I liked the black but replaced with stainless. Right now your appliances still read as stainless or black. my only caution would be this. Make sure you get the same finish and style on your fridge as it is right beside your stove. Black can come in very shiny ( so hard to keep clean), matte , black stainless, pebbled ( easy to keep clean and not as shiny)etc. You want them to coordinate as much as possible. Even having the same type of handle will be important to coordinate your kitchen. Look through the photos on houzz for wood kitchens with the various appliances and you will get a better sense....See Moresduck2
