Need help with flooring - PICS

We've been on the hunt for weeks now and still at a loss as to the right flooring.

Our kitchen is going to have two arches -- one opens into the foyer, and the other opens into the dining room. Both the foyer and the dining room have red oak hardwoods that have recently been refinished. We have two small kids and a large dog, so the kitchen will see a lot of traffic.

Our counters are Madre Perla quartzite (some grey, some green but fairly light) and the backsplash is a neutral onyx with some white, gold, beige and grey colors. Cabinets are two-toned: off white shaker style in the kitchen and espresso colored in the bar area.

Our options are:

1) A light 16x24 stone called Capri which has some movement in it. The most expensive option.

  1. A more modern grey 12x24 porcelain tile

3) A 12x24 porcelain tile that has some sheen to it. (Sorry for the crappy photo)

4) Red oak hardwoods to match the rest of the home.

Any thoughts as to these options? We're leaning towards hardwoods as we feel they would unite the kitchen with the rest of the home, but I am worried about durability in light of dogs, spills, etc. Any input is welcome. Thanks!
