So, I have no idea about backsplashes. We are splurging on the Azul OR the Bordeaux because they are both in the premium range where we are and we were originally trying for the low to mid range, but of course every single thing we love was premium. I was honestly just thinking of like a cream/white subway tile with sort of a brick look if that makes sense, but my husband is going to have to install it (which he can definitely do) because we blew our budget on the granite. Uggh. I love the idea of the granite being the focal point, but my biggest concern is that I tend to tire of things and this is a huge investment. I just can't see myself tiring of the Azul.

ChloeSmom, WHAT I have to choose and edge now? :) my DH loves the half bullnose. What do you think? What do you recommend? Oh dear, I am going to loose sleep over this one now. You always have good ideas. I need something simple for my cottage kitchen. The 1/2 bullnose seems simple and strong. Remodelfla, Yes it is a Bosch. I have all new Bosch appliances. Electrolux seems really nice too. My DH loves German engineering from cars to toys. I did a lot of research. on Epinions. Great deal at Lowes. The Frige is the Integra 800. Super wonderful. Quiet and far larger than I ever expected. I used to have a JennAir Superba and that was a monster but held everything. This Bosch is much nicer. I am truly impressed by it. The Bosch range.. Well it is a little louder than I planned. I thought it would be as quiet as the dw. The cooktop area is quiet but the oven has a convection fan that tends to make it a little louder. Not terrible but silent. Although the warming drawer is awesome. I used to have a horrible GE cooktop and two super double ovens that took too much space. This range replaced all three. I like the space I have now. Or I will like it when I am done. Jan_jan, My LeadAD??? I wish I were a leader. I am a follower. If it were not for all the super ideas on this GW I would be lost. We are getting a new countertop, granite. Sink... stainless single bowl, about 32" (that's as large as I can fit) about 9/10" deep undermount The counter area the sink will live is pretty much in the middle of a 9' 2" long, about 40" deep spot and then the leg starts to head toward the stove, like an "L", but that is only about 14", then the stove, then an 18" counter spot and the end. Faucet... Type we are getting- a touchless type --high arc --pull down --one handle --no plate Material/Finish... My other half originally wanted, badly, ORB. But it seemed like it would not match well with the stainless sink. Not 100% on the finish yet. We could use some input here as well. I have always been a non chrome person. But...Our cabinets are a very dark, rich black/brown, one with glass doors, stainless range hood above the stove, appliances are black. There is a 7' wall of off white cabinets across from the dark ones and we are undicided if we should do the same color pulls on it or do brushed nickle, stainless or polished pewterish type. Our island pendants are dark cylinders like the dark cabinets. Our DR light is an open swirly thing with chrome. Our kitchen light is also funky and stainless (there is very little metal showing with theses. So, I am pretty sure we are going with oil rubbed bronze pulls on the dark cabinets (reduces eye clutter and I just love how they disappear). But putting ORB pulls on the off white cabs, for me gives it a countryish look, which is I like that look, but not sure if it will look fantastic with everything. Hopefully the pics help. We are standing in the LV looking into the kit. The pics have the DR light and the kit lights I was talking about.

The picture is a in progress one! We will be stuccoing the block wall. I live in the desert above Palm Springs and our house was built in 1976 and we but in new bronze windows and are having it re-stuccoed. We had a very thick outdated stucco. I was originally thinking I wanted a white house and maybe a blue green in the front door alcove area. Maybe put some southwestern touches like maybe rustic wood under the windows and some iron work between the two front windows. We will be changing the front door and landscaping when we are finished with the color. I would be open to a darker color... Anyway I am stuck and need help on color. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
