Has anyone used glass cup pulls?

I find them interesting but there are not a whole lot of pictures on line of them installed and I would be interested to hear how they work from someone who actually has them. Do they get finger prints all over them? Do you ever worry about cracking/breaking them when things bump into them? What color did you use? Do the clear ones just "disappear"? I am having white cabinets, so I don't know if the clear ones would look like ghost hardware (perfect for halloween!)

Those strike me as exceptionally feminine. As in, "this room is not intended to be used by men" feminine. Is that the intent?

I am the only one that cooks. Lol. But I don't want the kitchen to appear especially feminine no. They have ones that are smooth too or is it just the fact that they are glass?

These remind me of the crystal door knobs at my grandfathers house which was definitely not a feminine house.

I assume it is like the Armor product we used made by Cardinal. It is the best thing since sliced bread.:) Our GC has his guys do the initial treatment, and then my husband redid the shower walls before we used it for the first time. We have no shower door, but large glass walls separating the tub from the shower. We have each been using the shower twice a day for the past six months, and it still looks perfect. We just squeegee it off after every shower, and The Husband retreats it about once a month. We have really hard water here, but also have a water softener . If your product is anything like Armor you will love it.

has anyone used glass or irridescent tile on shower floor

I'm using a matte ceramic dahl tile in artisan brown in the shower (if anyone has this and thinks it's too dark let me know!) I want to do a glass or irridescent tile in 1x1 or 2x2 as a chair rail. I've seen suggestions to use smaller tile on floor. My tile guy said it would be cheaper for me to put the glass tile on the floor since I found it at a good price on an internet site than ordering the artisan brown in the small pieces because I would need to buy a box and would have too much left over. Also the irridescent looks thinner than the regular glass tile. Does this mean the glass tile would be more durable for the floor? Also want to know if it shows dirt and soap scum and cleaning.

Oh, those are just stunning--understated elegance IMO. FWIW, our Artistic Tile glass tile (Opera Glass) is holding up very nicely. Don't know anything about the quality/sturdiness of Vetro Lux tile vs the Opera Glass tile, but can tell you that some glass tile can and does hold up well against staining and chipping. Only place it has discolored somewhat is just above the vent along the back of the range, which I think any light colored tile might.

unless you get the expensive glass tile that has no green tint, any white glass tile will take on a very cool greenish/blue tint. It's just the way glass is made. I used a 4x12 white tile in my shower (which is very large). It's not a big deal to clean (the upper half never even gets wet) If you want to match that marble looking tile, then do white porcelain or ceramic tile. White glass will not compliment that marble. It will look too greenish.

Smooth would seem less frilly I think, yes. I get your point about the crystal door knobs - it's certainly possible to do Victorian stuff like that in a gender balanced way, and I probably painted a picture in my head that's bears no resemblance to your kitchen. Are there more masculine elements in the room that would help make a man feel welcome there? I'm guessing there were many in your grandfather's house.
