Quartz v Granite and ColorQuartz in particular

We are finally redoing the countertops in our 1953 midcentury modern-ish home. They are genuine 1953 laminate of some sort. Because we already have a somewhat busy granite on the floor (Luna Pearl - we now realize it is a somewhat commercial look like you might see in a bank, but it is neutral, impossible to see dirt on and still looks new after 20 years) we were thinking of quartz for the counters -- specifically ColorQuartz Star Wars (black with sparkles) http://www.colorquartzstone.com/allseries.html. We could do absolute black granite which we have in our bathrooms but just felt like that was too much granite. The walls will be Dunn Edwards Swiss Coffee (white) with an array of poppingly bright cabinet doors (yellow, orange, tomato, a couple greens, and gold). Has anyone used the ColorQuartz brand? Any other ideas on this? All thoughts welcome.
