indoor/outdoor rugs for kitchens??
Comments (5)I have a Home Decorators rug in my kitchen. I've had it for 6 years. It still looks brand new. I run the carpet cleaner over it a couple times a year. We have HEAVY traffic where this rug is. It feels great under foot. http://www.homedecorators.com/P/Sphere_Area_Rug/420/ We have this wool one in our laundry area and it's gorgeous: http://www.homedecorators.com/P/Spark_Area_Rug/640/ I don't know about the rugs you mention. We are getting FLOR rug tiles for our rec room. They use them at the college I work at and they look new after 4 years of commercial use. I would look into FLOR or Home Decorators. They are both worth the cost....See MoreTeen Girl Bedroom
Comments (33)Holy Cow, that Rate my Space room turned out beautiful. Almost better than Miley's. Thanks for that link. I did find tons of links about her bedroom as it looks to be quite the popular room right now for tweens. There is a company in the UK that sells the circle decals but I'm not sure about ordering from the UK. Painting them like they did in the RMS room is a good idea too but they did theirs freeform...don't know if I have that steady of a hand. I'll have to fly my Dad out who's a painter. LOL! klb, you'll have to share how yours turns out. We are still in the furniture ordering stage so ours will be a few months. I'd love to compare notes! Thanks for posting that link in the first place. DD is in love with that room. Here is a link that might be useful: Clear circles from a company in the UK...See MoreRefresh Teens' Bath- Color Scheme Suggestions Needed
Comments (28)I love Annie's mock-up & the colors are great. My first thought was a white shower curtain until you said you had boys. We have 2 and you don't want white with boys unless you're planning to wash quite often. If you are planning to put a chest in the recessed space, do you really need additional storage around the toilet or the sink? If not, I put extra toilet paper in a basket I bought at Target and it's on the floor, but you could easily put it on the back of the toilet. In our guest bath, I put extra rolled towels on a rack behind the toilet. For the curved shower rod, look at BB&B or Lowes or HD. The main thing is to make sure you mount it far enough out so that you get the full effect of the curve but not so far so that the curtain liner doesn't fit well within the tub. This requires a little 'fitting' of the rod (maybe even putting the curtain/liner on) before attaching to make sure it fits well....See MoreAm I crazy to put dining room table against one side of the room?
Comments (12)Have you considered putting the table against the window the long way (see sketch in blue). There would be 40" of walk space if the hearth is 18" into the room. An indoor/outdoor is a great option that will anchor the table, add color as well as be the base for the room. I would also install either a long rod with stationary window panels on either side or short rods on either side of the window. The short rods would also have stationary panels. This will visually complete the windows. I would put an accent chair in the corner on the fireplace wall by the entry with an art piece above. A built-in bookshelf cabinet could be installed to the right of the firelace. Add a focal piece above the fireplace and you're all set!...See Morejohnmari
