Pendants? how to match w/entry/dining

My kitchen obsession is possibly nearing an end!!! YEAH...Now the pendants; But nothing is easy... I have an open floor plan; so I also have to sort of match the entry way which outside has these mission style lites (the outside is sort of modern craftsman):

I need a hanging light for the entryway shown from 2 angles:

It could either be a match to the rather old-fashioned chandelier which is hanging where the dining table will go....

or I can mix it up w/these type of pendants:

and I need 3 pendants over the bar:

something like these:

For the pendants, I think the first two are too modern. I like #4. It is simple but I think it still works with the Craftsman vibe.

I like both the pendants for the entryway in abstract, but couldn't figure out from your photos where it was going to hang.

It will hang above the front door; there's an alcove there, an entryway, that's higher than the rest of the ceiling, which has space for a light fixture; which can match the one above the dining area already in place or the pendant styles I showed.?? THanks

I have been leaning towards the first one. It is from Murray Feiss, Urban Renewal collection $79. I liked the second but I was also thinking about the cleaning aspect of the linen shade. I have looked at both Lowes and Home Depot and agree they both have some really nice lights. I haven't found one that is simple enough but that still has style. Hopefully whom ever put in the your hall light left extra wire in the electric box in the ceiling and you will not have to rewire. Look around your Lowes or Home depot they might have some gold chain. Even though gold is coming back in style, sometimes it is still hard to find and so many different colors of gold. Or if your husband installed it maybe he saved the remaining chain. You picked a nice fixture. Look for something that complements it. From your pictures the foyer looks open to the living area. I would just go smaller. The shadows Sam is talking about, is the shadow the light casts on the ceiling and walls when it is on. Yours is fine. I seen one light shadow that looked like a boob on the ceiling. lol Oh yes I am for easy maintenance and comfort.

Here is an idea for you. Minimal framing and it would open up the kitchen space: 1. tear out the pantry and the internal walls of the powder room and the powder room sink. 2. Frame in a pocket door and solid wall for the powder room, reorienting the door. 3. change up the sink in the powder room for a very minimal thin sink hung on the wall across from the toilet and change the toilet to a round bowl that takes up less space. 4. Frame in a new wide archway to the dining room that is next to the stairwell 5. eliminate the existing door to the dining room 6. counters along the exterior wall with sink under window and cooktop on exterior wall for venting 7. countertop along dining room wall anchored by a double oven 8. refrigerator and pantry along opposite wall from sink - can make pantry depth of standard depth fridge to save on appliance cost - pantry can be doors with shelves all around or cupboards with pull outs. 9. island with 42" space to sink area and aligned with dining room opening 10. not to worry about work triangle with fridge because island becomes prep space see sketch:

I agree it's much too narrow for any furniture across from the closet. What about wallpaper? The jog in the wall would provide a natural place for it to stop. There is so much good wallpaper out there - for every taste. It could set the tone for the rest of your space. Also, with a hallway being a "pass thru" space, you could do something a bit more daring or bold since you aren't looking at it all the time. No idea what style you like but here are some that caught my eye:

Front entrance - I like the second one. Your outside light has a curved part that goes from the back up to the front top and the foyer light has that same curve onto the fixture (hopefully that made sense)
Island pendants - I like the bottom two - in order of preference I like the second from the bottom only because I think it will give better light and so it depends on whether or not you need the light there.

There's also this one as a match to 2nd from the top; not sure how much all the glass hsould match

Lately I've been into these Lantern Chandeliers. I know they are not really the craftsman style you have in mind, but I would love to hang one of these in my foyer entryway or over my dining room table.

I'm not good with decorating at all, but I've been seeing more of these popping up in kitchens and I really like them.
