Change to existing sink opening???

HI-- Has anyone made a minor or major change to an existing granite countertop- without the guys having to take it all out completely? My situation- a long story which I will condense-- is basically that I want to change my double SS sink which has a larger sink on the left...I want to put in the jumbo one bowl copper sink. (gorgeous...) This will require the opening to be enlarged all the way around...another complication is that there is a seam which looks like POOP on the right running through the smaller sink side...(the seam is coming apart and the granite to the right has shifted forward about 1/8 - 1/4") nightmare...

So before I get into estimates from better granite guys that my first installer to fix this mess, what should I expect? Anyone have experience with this at any level? THANKS!!
