The stove is BlueStar. The hood is Broan. Soapstone is Minas black. I put prices in the album for those seeking guidance on costs. The stove and hood - we got a good deal for the pair, $3400, installed, from our local store. We put the kitchen together for about $28k, excluding the frig ($2,400)and DW ($800), which we had already. I"m throwing in numbers here because I was clueless on what things cost. Had to do a lot of homework. Hope this is helpful for readers.

Just curious-as a new soapstone countertop owner (2 weeks)- do you plan to oil it?

I oiled it on day one and now once every two months or so to give a slick look. I like the dark tone. It was a medium gray when it was installed, which i liked too, but my personal preference is the dark look.
