Hmmm ... I'd rather see a little bit more repetition between the two. For instance if you went with the vanity (love, by the way) and the oval sink, I'd like to see an oval-shaped pedestal sink. Ideally the faucets would be the same or from the same line as well.

Thanks for the suggestions! I found a round/oval pedestal sink that might work perfectly. Too bad its spendy! But I would be saving on the vanity cost.

At first I thought no, but I think the hardware is throwing me off. You switching that will really change the look of the vanity. I think it will work out nice.

it will sit next to the toilet in this space I (instead of the cabinet and I thought I could put some baskets or something for storage and just to give some contrast to the whites.

Oh and excuse the mess it is already under construction. I also think I will reuse the hardware on the vanity as I think it will go with the rest of the look.

This will look great! Love the rounded pedestal sink. Just saw a show on HGTV where they did one vanity and one pedestal for hers and his, respectively.

Ok one more question... and thanks you guys for making me feel more comfortable with my decision..

I was curious if you all thought I should maybe use more traditional faucets rather than modern. I just happened to already have the one modern vessel faucet. I did find a couple of others I really liked. Here are the photos.

Have you considered painting the vanity white or black? I think it would look better with the pedestal sink, especially because of the louvered front. I like the second faucet set best. Then you can try to find hardware for that vanity that sort of mimics the features of the handles.

That's what I did in my bathroom. The handles of the faucet, the knobs on the light fixture and the handles on the vanity hardware all have a similar aesthetic to tie them together. If you'd like to see what I'm talking about I can post pictures for you.

If I do paint the vanity white then the top will be white and I like the look of the wood as i would keep that for the top as well... plus, the sink it white. I will think it over though..

I posted these a month or so back when we finished the project, but didn't include close ups of the fixture, handles and lighting. Our cabinet was a dark oak and on the advise of a friend, I painted it black. Here's a picture of what I was talking about with the fixture and how you can find hardware, fixtures and/or accessories that mimic each other. This room currently is a bathroom laundry combination. Hope this helps. :c)

It might have been on of those DIY network shows that they show on HGTV. I saw it in the past couple of weeks if you can look back. I wish I could remember when, but I have a cold and my head is pretty foggy today, unfortunately.

Thanks, I got the pulls from Home Depot. They're the new line offered by Martha Stewart. I was really surprised as the quality. They're heavy duty, polished silver and the price was very affordable. There are pulls and matching knobs.

What color are your curtains? Where did you buy them? They look great. What is your vanity top made of? I love this bathroom.
