The thought of a used brothel bed is just plain nauseating. You couldn't pay me to touch the swing in the middle! Blech.

Frankly the seller has no shame - I would have posted it as a bed with a New Orleans french style tuscan poster bed with canopy - oh yeah and where is the chair for swinging in the picture? Inquiring minds need to know. Thanks for sharing.

Well they had to make the kids in something! They can sell it with a guarantee (via the kids beds as proof) that the bed works....

I'm with sky. Only I wouldn't care if it was tall enough to walk under. I'd plant morning glories at each end to climb the cage and in the mattress area I'd plant flowers in a pattern to look like a quilt. Oh and on the swing thing in the middle, I'd attach a very large "talking" fake bird just for the fun of it.

I am sure kids look at that and think they are the coolest parents in the world! After all what kid does not want a swing on thier bed. The rest goes right over thier heads.

Hey! Don't make fun of the bed. That swing could really come in handy for help getting out of the bed in the mornings! Great exercise equipment, too! LOL

I bet they explained it to the kids by saying it was like a birdcage...think about it and it does! LOL

Honestly if you spent that much for a custom made bed a year ago, wouldn't finding room to put the dang thing in the next house be like top priority? LOL

I bet they didn't move, it's all a lie - the dear wife got tired of putting clean sheets on the bed with that cage blocking access. And they have the kids now so no need for the bed LOL.

My sister and her boyfriend have, shall we say, exotic "games" they play. Think leather straps, etc. Anyway, he showed up at her house one day with a new "toy" -a dentists chair in working order. Apparently didn't work for their "purposes" so they put it out on her curb on trash day.

Wow, it's like Cirque du Soleil in the bedroom. Sorta.

I'd put it in the yard and grow ivy on the bars, then put a rock garden coming out of it. ;-)

I guess I'm just too PG at heart... I think it's actually kind of cool-looking - but knowing it's history and intended use just spoils it completely. Imagine that bed (minus the swing) in a room decorated with an Asian tropical theme?

Okay, okay. I know it's crass but all I could think of when I saw that picture was: Yes. The cat. Wouldn't that be a PUSSY cat? (Gasping for air, child doing homework in other room just asked in a worried voice 'Mom are you OKAY?')

Now Now!! You have to learn to think outside the box (oops!)
Think of that table...with the rust all sanded off and painted a tasteful wine red with the handles gilded....and think of it reupholstered in a lovely soft muted gold velvet.
Think of the tilt back...er up...oiled and in working condition.
Imagine that in your media room.
There are drawers to store coasters and napkins...perhaps even books and video tapes....and there is that lovely pull out tray to use for hors d'ouvres.
