I have a beadboard backsplash in my pantry. It it real tongue and groove not pressed wood. See link below.

A couple of my favorite kitchens - both have beadboard or wood backsplash.

Here's a picture of ours. Not a bad idea to add a piece of moulding at the bottom so crumbs don't get stuck in the beading where the backsplash meets the counter.

I am in the tail end of a mini remodel of my kitchen.
Nothing fancy really, just counters, kept the cabs but
rearranged a tiny bit, new appliances and details.
Still working on the details. Lighting, molding...
Looking at a modernaire hood but worried about the
expense.

I try to list each photo source next to the photo I
post. I use magazine, web sites, blogs...

We don't have a lot of backsplash due to windows and cabinets that come down to the counter. What we do have doesn't show up well in the photos. I really like the contrast of the "softer" wood beadboard with the hard stone counters.

Awesome! That helps so much!I have a postform laminate counter with a curved backsplash attached and there is a wide gap behind several places along the wall. (The builders didn't believe in using levels, I guess.) Hubby thinks he can make it look nicer with beadboard. I really appreciate everyone's pictures! Thank you again!
