Can I do a bridge faucet with a drop-in sink? Pic

I'm hoping to get a faucet almost identical to this one for my kitchen facelift.

But in almost every photo it's on a large single basin, farmhouse sink. That's not in the budget or feasible with our cabinets so I'm going to be getting some kind of drop-in, double bowl sink. Could this still work? Would it look okay? Thanks!

that is a standard four hole faucet so yes it would work in any drop in that has the four holes cut. I think it will look fine!

of course! this is my prep sink. i have the same faucet for the main (farm) sink.

This reply is very late, but it is possible to install a self-rimming Kohler Epicurean sink below like an undermount sink. Tile is no longer popular, so my 1987 install of this sink would most likely require some other countertop surface now. I wanted the convenience of a countertop that drained into the sink for easy cleaning. Just be sure to replace the silicone mold-resistant caulking around the joint that is missing in this photo.

Thanks aokat! My faucets are all from the Rohl country kitchen collection. The bridge at the main sink (Shaw fireclay) has the side spray, which I love. The other picture is actually my utility sink (cross handled faucet) in the laundry room which is visible from the kitchen so I went with something similar. My prep, a Kohler 17.5 X 15.75 and set in sidways due to size limitations, does not have a bridge or side spray. My DH, who is the main cook, prefers this faucet. We had to put the faucet on the right of the sink rather than behind the sink, due the shallow counter there. It works out great and is handy and convenient for the prep use. He does not like having a spray, so we didn't put one there. Honestly, I don't miss it, the sink is smaller and we don't do clean up there and really don't feel the need for it. The main thing to remember about faucet size, is make sure your faucet reaches the drain. We thought we only needed a 7" throw on the faucet, but ended up exchanging for the deeper 9" because of too much splash.

Not sure what the minimum space for a wall-mount would be, but we have about 5" between counter and window moulding and that's more than enough; you could probably get away with a bit less. Also, if it helps, if those are Chicago Faucets in the photos, the neck is the 9 1/2" swing spout. In our kitchen it looks like it will hit right about the center of our sink. (We've had the faucet up but not the sink yet, but measured it out...so we'll see!) Our old faucet was a similar style spout and we really liked it---tall enough to swing out of the way of large dishes but not gooseneck. You can add a side spray; Chicago makes them for the wall-mounts and I imagine the same or similar spray works for the deck mounts too, but you'd have to look at how it attaches. Because their site is a mess, you have to search for the option to find it, and then just make sure it uses the same connections your faucet has. On the wall-mount it isn't quite as neat as with a traditional faucet---hose has to wrap around and hang somewhere---but you might avoid that problem with the deck-mount since you can run the connection underneath.

@aniakrystyna if you want a traditional look in a faucet, but hesitating about a bridge style, I suggest the Kohler Artifacts kitchen faucet. It is a traditional look, but with the convenience and functionality of a single-hole, single-handle faucet. I have it in polished chrome, and really like it. It comes in other finishes. Its spray function has 3 settings - regular spray, berry spray (gentle, for berries and other delicate foods), and sweep spray which is a fan shape to spray down a dish in one motion. I have the one in the first pic (K-99259), but I also really like the model in the second pic (K-99260):

This is a very confusing thread. kateskouros's sink is not drop in.

All the pictures in this thread show the faucets mounted on the countertops. These don't have to be used with farmhouse sinks. They can also be used with regular undermount sinks, which is what kate has. Are you sure you can't use an undermount sink?

And, yes, you should also be able to get a bridge faucet plus sprayer to work with a drop-in with the right number of holes.

Marcolo is correct -- most of those pix are for a different sink.

If I am understanding correctly that you have an older, existing drop in that you want to retrofit with a bridge faucet and sprayer, the task is getting the schematic for the faucet you like and checking it against what exists on the sink. F.ex. if your sink has 3 holes and the faucet needs 4, the answer is no.

If you are purchasing a new drop in sink then search for a drop in with the same number of holes that the faucet requires. Be sure they are located to accomodate the exact faucet of your choice. Both will have schematics with exact measurements -- spec sheets or dowloads on the seller's and/or manufacturer's website.

If still in doubt, post both and someone here can double check it for you.
