Stone Yards NY, NJ, CT

Hi all, I'm hoping to get some help looking for a slab of white Carrara marble. So far I've been to PMI in Long Island City, HG Stone in Brooklyn and Everest Marble in CT. I keep finding slabs I love but they are either too thick (2") or too thin (3/4"). Any recommendations for stone yards would be great and even better if anyone could recommend somewhere I could visit a few place all near to each other. Everest was the best place I've been to so far in terms of selection and helpfulness. Thank for any help.

Try Arena Stone in NJ. I got my calacatta there. They have loads of white marbles.

Try marble.com. You cant even chat with them online and see if they have any instock.

Hi Joy! Wish you could have made it ... iris always go fast! And don't worry about the 'big words' ... that's what Google is for! ;) As the 'worm lady' I just wanted to say that I added an update to my 'Garden Worm Bonanza' thread, after talking with the Ag Station about my worm invasion yesterday. You might want to check it out. All good news it seems ... be grateful you have worms, however colossal they may be! They couldn't really explain the size, except to offer the theory that they have been gorging on REALLY good compost (I still think it's global warming!!) jhmjr, Sorry for the delayed response. I actually made a completely different thread for the final product. Here are the pics and a youtube video for you: We opened up the Pool June 24th, and thouroughly enjoyed the pool the entire summer. East Coast Pool Concepts out of Manalapan NJ did an incredible job from start to finish. I would HIGHLY recommend them for anyone considering a pool in NJ/NY/PA area. I cannot say enough about the quality job these guys did, the attention to detail, and the follow up. Even after the job was done, and I finished my payments, they were still checking up with me and stopping by to make sure all was going well. They build a great pool, they are great to work with and they stand by their work. Whit461 the subway tile is 3x6 and we got it from NJ at Wayne Tile and we had AGCtile from NJ install it. I am happy with it but I kinda wish we went with a different one. These are very thin and if you look at them a certain way you can see diagonal stripes in them. Maybe nobody will notice but I do and it bothers me. The one we originally picked out was much thicker but was on back order for 5 weeks and we didn't want to wait that long. Our appliances are now scheduled to be installed April 19th, can't wait!!! One word of advice, if you can bring a sample of your cabinet and counter then def bring it!!! And if you can't bring them to the store then def bring samples home of the tile before you make your final decision. The different shades of white tile can make a HUGE difference!!!! Good Luck!! Can't wait to see the finished project!!

Not sure how far east on Long Island you're willing to go but you can check out Nash (they're in Farmingdale) and here's the link to their inventory:

Looks like they have a bunch of 3 cm. I will say though that we got our 2 slabs of Crema Marfil from them and they're supposed to be "premium" but our fabricator wasn't a fan of the 3 cm slab so we ended up getting it elsewhere. At least you can take a look online before making a trek. Good luck!

In CT, these have huge selections. I purchased my counter from Ferazzoli. No complaints.

Stone world imports in Farmingdale, ny- Vinny was able to order White Statuary from Carrara Italy for us, (5) slabs two pairs were book matched.

After visiting a few of these places (Arena was wonderful) I finally found a piece at Walker Zanger's slab showroom in Mt. Vernon. Thank you for all your suggestion!
