I have recently finished a kitchen remodel and I've used the quartz fire and ice backsplash with a busy granite....juperana crema bordeaux. I added a third glass tile, a rootbeer color. I like the backsplash and granite together....the colors of one are reflected in the other. I really like it and so did the visitors who recently viewed my kitchen on a Parade of Homes.

I think it would look nice in a country style kitchen...it has a rustic feel.

I don't have many cleanup issues because our kids are grown and I don't cook much. As far "pattern trap" ... it took us 25 years to get around to remodeling the kitchen so at 58, I don't think I will be changing anything before I 'move on'. :-) I was going for a natural 'Asian' feel but it could also pass for other warm feels, maybe Tuscan.

thanks for taking the time to post the photos for me. I sure appreciate it. It really helps to see it overall in place. I'm wondering, though, why the colors in Cfire's stone look so much stronger? Is it the lighting? Did you use a color enhancer,cfire, or is it just the variation in lot color (or is it the slate, rather than quartz?)

Jodi, your kitchen is absolutely beautiful - Great Job! It's so warm and inviting. Your slide show is fantastic and helpful. I'm on the East Coast so I have to find a supplier for the back splash somewhere around here. You say you added the umber glass, the reddish and clearer ones are already integrated in the back splash, correct? Also, where did you get that grass wallpaper and what color is it. My home is older and the walls are less desirable, so that might just be a good choice for me. Also, What are your color cabinets? Maggie, we replaced some of the clear glass pieces with a dark umber/amber/rootbeer color. The light rust/peach color glass pieces we left alone.

We found the grasscloth in one of many grasscloth books at our local Frazee paint store. We went through so many books that I can't tell you off the top of my head the name or color. Sorry. I have it written down somewhere. If I find it, I'll let you know.

The cabinets are Cherrywood with a brandy stain and chocolate glaze.
