I had too much wine? you lost me! Antique brass in the kitchen is fine with stainless anything and every thing, I'd match the luster on the brass. .I would not add a third finish in the kitchen. If you want polished nickel in the kitchen? Eliminate brass totally in the kitchen and stick to stainless as your second metal. As to you can do "whatever you want"? O course you can! But you can choose to be miserable too : ) In other words....... two metals. In whatever place. Not three

Hi Patricia, Thank you for the feedback! Maybe contemporary is not the right word? I'll edit my post. I basically like the look in the kitchen inspiration photos. I know this sounds crazy, but I kind of hate chrome...outside of my chrome oven of course. Do you have any other finish/ hardware suggestions that would go with a black and white/wood kitchen?

If polished is what you want, then polished is what you should get. Its your kitchen. Get what will make you happy. I promise you, no one’s going to react in horror, when they see your mixed metal fixtures. They probably won’t even notice. It’s like when people ask this forum if they should buy appliances from the same manufacturer, so that the handles will match. Believe me, no one walks into a kitchen, looks around, and takes note of the handles. You purchase whichever appliance meets your budget, and performs well. My kitchen is now 4 years old, About 2 1/2 years after install, my DH was cleaning a large pot, and knocked the spray button off the head of the faucet. One phone call to Kohler, and two days later, a new head was delivered free of charge. Top notch company.

To the OP, if you decide on an apron front sink in stainless steel, make sure to look at how the front panel is made. You don’t want a curved one. You also don’t want a SS apron front that is super thick. What Joe Corlett pictures above is more what you want. Some of the cheaper ones have the super thick apron - it intrudes into the usable floor area of the sink. An extra-thick apron also removes the ergonomic advantage of an apron front which is that it is easier on your back to have your body directly against the sink, than to have the slight lean required with an undermount sink with its several inches of counter in front of it. I like the design of the Elkay apron front sink, because it also has an offset corner drain, an advantage. However, I don’t have direct experience with it so I unfortunately can’t advise on whether it’s a quality sink or not.
