Where to buy beadboard wallpaper?

I purchased ours from Graham Brown (do a google search for beadboard wallpaper and it will come up--good customer service and very quick shipping.

We just finished putting up this on the ceilings in the new addition to the farmhouse we are renovating and are VERY pleased. Everyone who sees it (including GC who thought we were crazy when we told him what we were going to do) can't believe its wallpaper. BTW, we got the unpasted--just make sure you use heavy duty wallpaper paste. I just gave away my extra but could probably get a sample piece back to send if you want - just let me know. Graham Brown will also send you a small sample.

I hope I do this right - I am trying to attach a link which will show you the ceiling in the den. On the left side of the picture is actual beadboard (old part of the house; on the right side of the beam is the beadboard wallpaper we put up.

Thanks everyone! I love the idea of the pewter colors or lighter shade of the blue for towels and accessories. I was initially considering red but that seems too nautical. Mush- this is prepasted but I used paste too. I think it makes wallpapering easier since it slides a little bit more with the paste. I think the seams are invisible; I really pressed them down good. The seams look much like the real thing does when you add each piece of the wood paneling. My towel bars are above the chair rail. I had to use the sink height as my chair rail guide. I think the wallpaper liner which someone mentioned would be a good idea to prep a tiled wall before papering, but this textured paper is quite thick compared to regular wallpaper. Order a free sample and see what you think. I personally would not put this up in a full bathroom just because I have had horrible experiences removing peeling/lifting paper that resulted from my kid's excessively long,hot,steam-laden showers. I know what you mean. I can't resist checking out their online catalog every so often. Used to get catalogs through the mail and hated to throw them away. Yes, I'd like to see some of that furniture in actual rooms. I do like alot of it, but the prices are so out there. Wonder if it is well made? Did you see the chair that was a pile of sticks with a sherpa or fur "seat"? I was thinking I bet I could make a version of that. :) I've said it before, but if I was skinny I'd buy those clothes even tho I'm too old for them.

So I just looked at some of the threads and realize that I hadn't considered whether this would be appropriate for the house/room. We have an American four-square that is nearly 10 years old. Unfortunately, we did not pay much attention to maintaining a certain style when furnishing the house. We just bought furniture and decorations we liked. Our dining room, where the beadboard wallpaper would go, is Queen Anne (at least that room is consistent), and it's just boring. We want to put the wallpaper about 1/3 of the way up the wall, with a chair rail. I do think it would look nice, but is that a bad fit with Queen Anne furniture and in a four-square? The thing is, we can't do anything too ornate b/c the dining room and living room are attached, and the living room is more casual. I thought beadboard would strike the right note. We did consider wainscoting, but that would be a bit of a pain to install. Also like some of the other paintable wallpaprs, but fear they are either (1) too ornate when compared to the living room or (2) too casual for the dining room. Help!

I saw the bead board wall paper yesterday. Infact it had lots of different styles. When walking past it I began to think about the sides of my cabinet and sides of my island and thought...this would be perfect there. So that's what I plan on doing too. I can't wait to see your project finished. Oh and my island has no water and the stove sits in it, no seating in my island. I would probably do the mdf board if i had searing under my island. Same with the side of my cabinet. No water over there either. Love the statement,,really what do you have to loose by trying it. If it gets all mucky in a couple of years..change it

I have heard others have purchased from Lowes but when I checked, our Lowes is not carrying any wallpaper anymore; in fact, I could not find it wanywhere locally. You can do a search on this and decorating site and there was a thread regarding where folks had purchased theirs. Good luck!!

that ceiling looks great! Very impressive!

I tried Lowe's online and they said my local store had some, but when I called they said they hadn't carried it in a while. Of course I just had the idea to use it on the backs of my cabs rather than cutting out real wood yesterday and wanted to do it today . . . I'm all about instant gratification! Guess I may have to order it and be patient. . . :-)

I got mine (for DD1's bedroom) at Home Depot. Prepasted, super thick. Has held up well so far.

last year
i need heavy/thick wallpaper. what brands carry it. Many years ago before i moved in there was a fire started by a dog who knocked over a lamp nexed to the wall. firemen used chemicals on the wall and paint crackled after that. i updated it with heavy paper. it lasted 30 years. i need to do it over. any ideas? thanks, Maggie.
