Uh well, making less cakes and pizzas will result in weight loss (at least that would be a benefit for me!).

You can melt three different kinds of chocolate on the stovetops simultaneously... and sear some pineapples at the same time. Your kitchen will always be full of happiness.

I actually love our current tiny oven (in an old Wedgewood). It heats up so quickly I use it to toast and reheat all the time--- muffins, baguettes, english muffins--- everything tastes so much better after a few minutes in a real oven. Here's hoping you find that smaller may be better, too!

In addition to the Euro feel, which is of course delightful and stylin', you are being energy conscious, and don't have to feel guilty every time you fire up your 36" range just to heat up a few tortillas (ask me how I know this guilt). Hands down, I vote for the Tiny but beautiful 5star range you have in your kitchen.

Boxer--LOL. Leave it to you to come up with some pics to put a smile on my face! I have to say, however, that being in the middle of the remodel without a kitchen, that first pic was torture to look at! I am soooo hungry. The pregnancy is not helping.

Here in France (and all over western Europe, I believe), our standard ovens are less than 3 cu ft and it is enough to cook delicious meals and entertain large crowds.

From a European perspective, you have very large ovens, Sabjimita.

The smaller the oven the faster it heats, larger ovens have very poor energy ratings.

You have TWO ranges! That is awesome. I had only 1 30" inch in my old kitchen and the interior size was never a problem for pizzas or turkeys. And I was able to cook 50 billion Christmas cookies, even though I could only use 2 sheets at a time.

Now you have the ideal set up with two!

Once you actually start using them, I think you will be very happy!!

girlfriend, you aren't gonna be roasting any turkeys! and the tofurkey's I've seen will fit into a toaster oven!

and like others have said, the oven will heat up faster. and there's less floor space of the oven to clean. and . . . and since it's smaller there isn't as much heat to dissipate (spellcheck please) and raise your AC bill. And if you want it to work as a warmer then that's good too.

How many weeks are you now? 2nd Trimester?
