can I do a bridge faucet with this sink?

I am installing a Ticor sink, the square one with unequal bowls (link below).

Do I have to use a single-handle faucet? I am doing a modern kitchen in an older house with eclectic decor, and of course I don't want a super-conservative faucet, but I love the way bridge faucets look. I love the Kohler Torq, and the (unaffordable) Dornbracht Tara bridge faucet (http://store.simonsny.com/dotabrfa.html)

but I worry that it's just too much going on with the asymmetrical sink. Here is the sink: http://www.galaxytoolsupply.com/product_p/ss3530.htm

My worry is the bridge faucet would be in the middle, with the two ends probably not lining up with the line in the sink and it would all look mishmashy messy. Also, I worry that the style isn't modern enough with the sink/cabinets.

I love the look of the sleek bridge faucets, too. Had several in my inspiration pics. But I work in the kitchen like you do, and I really felt I wanted a double-bowl sink. So i went with a single-hole faucet. It was nerve wracking to order it sight unseen but we LOVE it in person. It's the HansGrohe Talis S. Very sleek, German, feels extraordinarily well-made. It was maybe $225(?) on line, so also quite a bit less than the bridges I liked!!
(I also wanted a zero-radius sink but we decided it wasn't right for the kitchen & resale considerations.)

Isn't there a double-bowl zero-radius Ticor that has equal bowls? That would work with a bridge faucet.

Anyone have an opinion? Can I do a bridge faucet in a modern kitchen, with an asymmetrical sink? Or would it be too busy/look wrong?

Sorry - But I think you've got two parts you love that just won't work that well together. My best advice is to sacrifice one part for the greater good of the whole. It's your 'whole kitchen' you'll either love or not,so do what's best for the greater space.

True, you've found a bridge faucet that is contemporary rather than traditional. If you pair it with a large modern-looking single sink, you'll have a great modern look that works.

Or go with your double-bowl sink and a single-hole faucet that embraces rather than fights the asymetry.

FWIW, many, many GWebbers have gone from double bowl sinks to singles and LOVE it. (Me included.) There have been several threads on exactly that issue. Think about why you want a double-bowl and how you use your sink. Would an over-the-sink collander or in-sink dishpan solve your problems?

You should post on the Kitchens Forum. Also, I am confused by your post - you are having the bridge faucet at the prep sink? It must be a large prep sink. Or, you are having the bridge faucet at the main farmhouse sink? Anyway, I think a Farmhouse sink of 30" width DOES need a spray. You are doubling your work to clean it if you don't have the spray function. I understand you like the look of bridge faucets, but think about your everyday use/multiple-times-a-day use. The problem with bridge faucets is that (a) you have to use both hands to operate them and turn them on and off, vs. a single-handle style which you can even turn on with the side of your palm if your hands are greasy, (b) 3 holes in the counter to clean around, and (c) no spray function. There are many single-handle faucets that are transitional in style. One that comes to mind that is very popular with farmstyle sinks is the Kohler Vinnata. It comes in two sizes - the larger one for a main sink, and the smaller one for a prep sink. But there are many other choices. Here is a link that might be useful: Kitchens Forum

I am because I thought I would get tired of the "all stainless steel" look over time and the chrome is more versatile. I went through way too much angst about it, too. I have brushed nickel nobs, I believe, because they were one of only two "free" options my kitchen installer gave me, but I will probably change those in time. If I get tired of the stainless or brushed finishes it would be a lot more expensive to change if I had to replace everything around the sink, esp the main faucet and instant hot faucet. I plan to leave ss appliances and sink, and chrome fixtures, and switch the nobs, pulls and lights between shiny and matte finishes as the mood takes me! I had a ss sink and chrome fixtures for years. It is only recently that anyone has started to question if that is "OK" or not. Price was not a consideration for me, becuase my faucet was affordable either way, but the chrome does tend to cost a little less, also. Sue

Marcolo is correct -- most of those pix are for a different sink. If I am understanding correctly that you have an older, existing drop in that you want to retrofit with a bridge faucet and sprayer, the task is getting the schematic for the faucet you like and checking it against what exists on the sink. F.ex. if your sink has 3 holes and the faucet needs 4, the answer is no. If you are purchasing a new drop in sink then search for a drop in with the same number of holes that the faucet requires. Be sure they are located to accomodate the exact faucet of your choice. Both will have schematics with exact measurements -- spec sheets or dowloads on the seller's and/or manufacturer's website. If still in doubt, post both and someone here can double check it for you.

@aniakrystyna if you want a traditional look in a faucet, but hesitating about a bridge style, I suggest the Kohler Artifacts kitchen faucet. It is a traditional look, but with the convenience and functionality of a single-hole, single-handle faucet. I have it in polished chrome, and really like it. It comes in other finishes. Its spray function has 3 settings - regular spray, berry spray (gentle, for berries and other delicate foods), and sweep spray which is a fan shape to spray down a dish in one motion. Good points. I already have the sink, but I could send it back easily enough. I just thought that I would like to have one side for dirty dishes and one side to clean stuff while I cook-- I am grossed out by trying to wash veggies in a sink full of dirty dishes, which mid-cooking it will be. What I really want is a clean up area with two sinks! Which would mean a kitchen roughly 3X bigger than the one I have.

Thanks for the thoughts to ponder-- anyone else have opinions/experience with bridge faucets, etc? Maybe I like the look of bridge but have to admit they aren't as functional anyway. They are purty, though.

That's a really pretty faucet! I think for cooking it is nice to have just one handle-- I'm picturing closing/opening it with my elbow when my hands are full :) Maybe I'll just do a bridge faucet in a bathroom some time. The Hansgrohe bridge is gorgeous (but, you're right, pretty pricey!).

I switched from a double to a single bowl sink. I am
chiming in because I think the bridge faucet is amazing.
More so than the sink you have. Although both are nice.
I love my single sink. It can hold a giant casserole
pan to soak, it can hide dirty dishes because it is deep
and less akward to work in.
I simple tell you this because if you discover you love
the bridge more you might be happy with a single bowl.
