very important....i really need help with skunks please....
Comments (1)"ya i got a freakin skunk and babies trying to make home under my deck. and the lady that runs the nusery here had a grizzly bear and 2 cubs beat the ?hit out of her scarecrow." Terrybull, Get a bottle of Lysol Liquid Concentrate--it should say 'concentrate' on the bottle. Take the bottle and pour it onto the ground under the deck, if you can see a burrough entrance then spill some into the borrough too. The skunks should take off and not return, they don't like that scent. I had a problem with a BIG skunk living under our back bungalo when we lived upstate, he hibernated under the bungalo each winter and in the spring the bungalo would reek. One of our neighbors suggested we try the lysol concentrate and it worked like a charm, he left and he didn't come back. T this is from a post rhat i had earlier. if you can spray or pour it around your plants or property....See MorePlease Help Me Choose KWC Pull-Out Faucet (Pics)
Comments (10)Thanks everyone for your input! It really helps! Davidro1 - you were so right about communicating with customer service (slapping my forehead - why didn't I think of that). I actually called them, and they were so helpful. Here's what they told me (in case anyone else on the Forum is looking at KWC too): Splendure SS vs. solid SS finishes - KWC's Splendure finish is an imitation SS with a PVD coating, an electronic process which makes it stronger and more durable that real SS. Splendure SS won't tarnish or darken with age. KWC's "Solid SS" is exactly that. Solid stainless steel has oils in it and will darken after some years and need polishing. Why the Luna specs don't mention a lockable spray - the Luna faucet actually does have a locking spray (as Chipongo noted above). But to reset the Luna back to regular flow, you either have to turn off the faucet, or lower the handle to lower the water pressure until it goes to regular flow. On the other KWC faucets I am looking at you turn the button to reset back to regular flow (I'm not quite sure I get the "turning" action, I'll have to look at that in the showroom). Side handle vs. handle in the back - solely personal preference, except if you have left-handed family members who would do better with handle in the back. Systema side handle vs. Domo side handle - in Europe, the Systems side handle style is considered more modern, and the Domo side handle style is considered to be traditional (vs. U.S., where "traditional faucet" means a more "colonial" look). The rep advised looking at my appliances and cabinet handles to help choose. I.e. if my appliances are e.g. Gaggenau (or the like), and my handles are the modern tubular style, then the Systema would fit better. If my appliances are more GE/Whirlpool (not his words, my words, cause our appliances are!), then the Domo would fit better. Any other input would be welcome. Thanks everyone....See MorePlease help me select the right size faucet for my sink!
Comments (19)Thank you @gm_tx. I went with standard height, the 5800 series. Counters are Calacatta Vagli that I got a great deal on (prob bc they were 2cm and I bought two thin half slabs which worked since I didn’t have an island.) So happy with how they turned out as I kept doubting my decision (had been debating btwn those and 3cm Imperial Danby.). I’m almost done with the kitchen and will post after pics with the hardware and range installed....See MoreHelp please re: Faucet location both sinks/ R/O faucet/ Air Switch
Comments (7)I think I'm going to put my air switch to the right corner on my main sink. I'm thinking that way I might place a small trivet or decorative soap dish between the faucet and air switch to hold my soap bottle (I don't think I'm going to use a built-in soap dispenser either as I've had trouble on all three I've ever owned.) I'm hoping that means less gunk can build up around the air switch as well. On my island, I'm considering not having an air switch but just a regular switch under the sink. I've had those in the past and it'll help keep the island less cluttered. I've got to order my sinks soon 😬...See More- 15 years ago
