Saw a glimpse of your island in another post. I'd love to see more pics of this as well as dimensions.

It looks exactly like what I'm looking for im my kitchen!

Not sure which picture I posted before but this is the best one I could find. I island itself is 60X24. The granite top is slightly bowed on the back side to give us more room to sit there an is 60x 31. My island is not as big as others on here but fits my kitchen really well and is more than enough room for us. I put my trash pull out in the island as my island is directly across from my range and I do most of my prep there.

Lucy0214 - I am tickled pink that someone is building the Vida de la Confianza! That is our plan too! BUT, we had an architect change a lot of things, so it's not exactly the same as the stock plan anymore. Do you have a build blog? I would love to see more pics of your house. I know I've searched all over the internet, but never found ONE real life picture of it (until I saw yours)! They just set our basement walls on Monday, so we should be rolling along soon with everything else. Thanks Maryanne, I was wondering where Michelle was..noticed she'd been missing a few days..Was hoping it wasn't her foot acting up..Glad to hear it's icky weather..Hope everything is comfy cozy at her house! Maureen, Are those little glass jars with the silver lid, IKEA? I have some larger jars from there, that have that same lid..I didn't see spice size when I was there.. If they are, I need to look closer next time. LOL ~oh and I agree...great concept..to bad it didn't work out perfectly for you.

We will probably do something like that, and use it as our table with 6 counter height stools. Were your cabinets underneath all curved and operable?? I'm thinking 36" round for base cabinetry with 12" overhang. Base would be simpler to build if I didn't require any storage area, still unsure if I need it to open. I didn't know circular cabinets were available, your picture looks circular. Thank you so much for posting pictures, very surprised you were still visiting the forum!!Its the first one I've seen.

We are going to have an island built that is 60x24 as well. It's the max I can fit in my space and I was so excited to see your similar island. I'm really hoping I like mine as well as yours! Ours will have a trash pull out as well.

The granite we chose was Santa Cecilia. It is a very common granite.
