Photos have to live on the web somewhere, so you should open a photobucket account and upload your photos there. Then you can post them here. There's a thread for new people around here somewhere that has more information.

Yes, download your photos to photobucket, then copy and paste the HTML into the message box on Gardenweb.

Have you tried looking at anything from Susan Jablon Mosaics? Ill send you a link of their subway tiles blends! Subway tiles definitely are beautiful and sleek. I'm not sure of other places online but they are out there.

That granite it WILD... I love wild!
That glass looks taupe on my screen. I think I'd look at a gray glass if I"m reading the colors right. Also, that looks like a beveled tile. I don't know if I"d want to be cleaning bevled crevices behind a cooktop. It's too much pattern in the granite to do a pattern (meaning colorful) behind the stove. You would create a texural change by takign whatever glass you choose and using the same glass in a mosaic size behind the range.

You guys are so helpful posting my pics for me! We fell in love with the granite (jurassic green) and tried really hard to talk ourselves out of it, but couldn't find anything that would catch our eye! The glass tile is gray but seems to pick up blues and tans depending on the light. Which is cool because all those colors are in the granite. I have convinced my husband that no pattern behind the stove is unnecessary and he has agreed. I'm definitely open to a monochromatic pattern though. It's not a bevel glass, just the lighting. How did you get just one picture up and right in the message part of the post? thanks

there are often questions on the forum regarding a range in a corner and this answers them so well

So, I took the sample back that I really think would be great. I phoned last night and got a quote. Today I asked her to write down the color, price, etc and the price was more than double what I was told yesterday. I am so annoyed. My husband does all the work and for once I wanted him to not have to but the price plus install is just too much for us. Maybe a couple extra days of work to justify it! I will call manager Monday to see where such a huge error could have been made...

okay here is another group of tiles. I tried to edit the image to get the color as close as it really looks in my kitchen. This store will give a discount for my husband since he is a fireman..very nice.

I love the middle row far left.

Thats one I am leaning towered. The name sounds white, its called ivory but had a green tint to it. The other is bottom left. Earth is the name. They only have a frosted sample so I need to see if they can get s polished. I wouldn't buy without seeing.

I agree -- fairly simple backsplash will let your beautiful granite take center stage.

I think the glass ones you are leaning toward would look great, depending on how the actual colors look next to your granite (computer monitors can be notoriously inaccurate). Greens & beiges can be kind of difficult at times.

If you want a design over the range, you could do a "center of interest" by framing an area with the long narrow tiles, and fill in the space with the smaller ones, 2x2s or 1x1s. I think that would look great & that you don't need anything more.

granite was a Costa Esmerelda but then RemodelFl showed
the beauty of your stone and my ideas would not work
at all.
I think something soothing and gentle in khaki, cream,
white or light taupe (colors from the your counter stone)
would show off your counter to perfection.

I like Redhead47's ideas about same color different shape of glass. I like the grey especially if it changes color depending on the light, I have a paint color in my den that does that and I love it. The cream or white would also look nice, whichever is closer to cabinet color. I would definately pick just one color, keep it simple because there is so much pattern in your granite and you don't want to take away from it.

Another idea behind the stove and microwave would be mirrored tiles.

Thanks everyone. I am awaiting a sample in the mail and will post our final decision. I think we are going to do just a simple glass subway. It's hard to find one that offers many options for a monochromatic design (glass that is). We need to keep it as inexpensive as possible

Hi silvergirl207! I just came across green jurassic granite today in my search for my kitchen re-do. Do you love it? I have a very similar kitchen (white cabinents, bamboo honey/natural color floors) and am just redoing the counters/back splash. I LOVE your kitchen pics with the jurassic green. I thought it might be "too busy" but after seeing it in your kitchen, it looks great. Do you have any other pics you could share? How did the back splash turn out? Thanks so much!
