Do you have pictures of your choices? and cabinet and granite?

I had the same problem. My KD and I looked everywhere for a replacement glass square. The closest I could find was Crossville Inc. glass squares. When I put it in the sample, the edges were too 'perfect'. I ended up going with another backsplash that matched my counter better, but before I did, I tried painting the back side of the lighter Jeffery Court glass pieces. I found I could make them any color I wanted, and still have the imperfect edges and surface as well as the irridescent color. Hope that helps. Good luck!

We are keeping similar colors (natural cherry cabs - very plain, white counters, textured backsplash) because it fits with the house. Soffit will be removed and new cabs will go to 5" below the ceiling, with trim bringing them flush to ceiling. Ceiling is white armstrong "tin look" circles pattern and that will stay white. The black beam runs across the length of the house, with white peaks, also framed with black beams. So, lots of white up there and then there's high quality maple paneling in the rest of the kitchen that's staying.

We will be getting a red Bluestar stove and wanted some accent tiles on the backsplash to match. We had found a red glass tile from Deko Tile. It's not 1 5/8" x 1 5/8", but 3/4" x 3/4". 4 of these are the same size as 1 5/8" x 1 5/8" tile. We ordered a sample, but it's just not the right color for the backsplash or to match the stove. We currently plan on using Jeffrey Court's Raindrops in Cooper Canyon, which are also 3/4 x 3/4, but would really like a single tile instead of 4, so the search continues.

The Crossville Cherise Iridecent ones look perfect, except for the size. I may order a sheet, grind some down to the 1 5/8, rough up the edges and throw them in the kiln to smooth out the cuts. Maybe I can make that work. Luckily I've got a glass hobby on the side. But I'm going to look a little more.

blewgo - is it the bubblegum tiles? They look nice. A block of 4 sounds interesting. I may need to play with some of my mosaic tiles to see how that looks. I've got LOTS of texture in my design - maybe too much though. A block of 4 could put me over the top lol.

blewgo: I think the copper color from glasstileoasis is the same color as the jeffrey court, and it comes in the 1 5/8" size. It looks yellow on my monitor, but I ordered a sample and it is much more coppery in real life. But it's not red. You can order a sample of 4 tiles for $5 with free shipping. Here's my pic:

Pudgybaby...the tiles you linked to are a light brown, not copper. I could not find the copper tiles at GlassTileOasis in 1-5/8" tiles. Yet, your sample in the pic seems to indicate the copper color came from them.

I'm on the hunt right now for a tile like Jodi_in_So_Calif's burnt umber glass tiles.

I am thinking of ordering the 11 sheets from moderntilestudio. If anyone wants to go in with me they can, otherwise I will try to sell the extras on ebay. Too bad they make you get 11 sheets. I probably won't need more than 2 sheets. Glasstileoasis must have sold out of the copper colored ones. I had planned on ordering those:(

buehl and kristine_2009: The yellow looking ones at glasstileoasis are more copper in real life, as I said in my post with the pictures. I just ordered 2 sheets last week - they are copper colored. I can take pictures of the full sheets if you'd like. Or you could order the samples for $5. Trust me, they are copper. I bought some of Moniqua's rootbeer moderntilestudio tiles and they look identical to me.

Kristine_2009: Moniqua bought the 11 sheets from moderntilestudio and didn't have any trouble selling them to fellow GWers. They are definitely cheaper than the glasstileoasis ones (glasstileoasis shipping is pretty expensive).

I went ahead and ordered the samples from GlassTileOasis (along with the blue ones)...on the off chance it was as you just posted PudgyBaby. (I also ordered a sample of the Root Beer from ModernTileStudio.)

I received both my samples of the Light Brown from GlassTileOasis and the Root Beer from ModerntTileStudio...and they are the same! They even have the same #...C2116 @ GTO and 2116 @ MTS.

So, now I price things out and see what each will cost me!
