I am a dummy. I replied that I had received the confirmation email and was able to go back and vote for your entry which kicked you from 8 votes to 9. But I forgot to submit after previewing the message, LOL. I don't remember all what I said last time I tried to post.

I also registered using my email address - I was not comfortable logging into my facebook account on a website that is not facebook. I did get a confirmation in the CB2 website that my vote counted "thank you for voting. your vote has been counted". What I dont understand is how the leader has so many votes. Blech !! To each his own I guess. I hope that is not anyone from here.

Angela, We only bought one sq ft of replacement glass and used all of them. I sure wish we had bought more just to help others out.

I haven't checked how many votes it will take to overtake the one currently in first place. I'd probably get depressed. :-) Also, I didn't enter on the very first day of the contest so that is a bit of a handicap.

I need to do a google search for Fire & Ice gardenweb and send a private email to each person who used it in their kitchen. I bet there is someone who has some of those tiles left.

By the way, I left a comment on one of your photobucket pics a week ago or so. I was asking if you thought Lezlie's photo more accurately or less accurately represents the real life colors in your kitchen ? In her picture, the cabinets look soooooo much lighter and the granite looks gray, not black at all. Which I understand the Impala Black has specks of lighter color in it, but in your pics it basically has an overall black look.

Sorry to hijack your post jodi. BTW-really love the colors you used in your LR-very elegant.

angela12345-Do a search at the bottom of the page for root beer fire and ice replacement tiles. kristine 2009 is the GWer who bought several sheets of them and is probably going to have extras. You can e-mail her or just post your own thread asking for help.

I saw your comment on Photobucket and replied the same day you posted. Here is my reply:

"Angela, my photos are more accurate. The granite is black and gray and much darker. The cabs are darker too. Lezlie was the gal we bought the back splash from so she came over to get some photos of the kitchen when it was done. I don't know why her photos came out so light."

Just so you all know, you can vote every day until the contest ends on September 15th which coincidentally is our 37th wedding anniversary.

Ah, thanks for letting me know. I guess I was thinking it would notify me or something.

The contest is not letting me vote again. I get the message "You've already voted for this entry. Only one vote allowed per entry." I read in the rules where it said they had software to detect illegal voting and I noticed that the entry that was in first place with way over 400 votes has now dropped back to 94 votes (it was blech in my opinion anyway!). Not that you have had any illegal voting, but evidently that one had.

Chris, thanks for the info !!! I am going to contact Kristine. Although, she was saying that the tiles she received were way lighter than the burnt umber/amber that Jodi used and that you got from Monica. Buy any chance, did you use up all of the tiles you got from Monica ? There are 49 of the 1-5/8" tiles per sheet so all I have to do is find 10 people who have 5 tiles left over and I will have a sheet !! LMAO

Yeah, I discovered each person is only allowed one vote. Most contests don't work like that. Oh well. Now I just need to find a few hundred new friends. :-)
