Have you considered doing your WTs first? To me, it looks odd to see your window below the table like it is now. I'd want to see how the two connect before finalizing that decision. I know you want a lighter feel, but I think you need to maintain a similar scale to the bed. Even if you don't get the ones that are sold with the collection for your bed, that would be a good guideline to shoot for in terms of the dimensions. I also like the suggestion of a skirted round table on your side and Bachelor's Chest on your DH's side. You could also achieve a lighter / less wood look, by opting for painted nightstands or even mirrored nightstands would look stunning.

PP offered some great tips! Your girls are going to love the room. I had a couple suggestions I haven't seen mentioned yet. For wall art: I love etsy.com for handmade art or budget-friendly photos. I have some great prints for my 2 girls' rooms. They also have vinyl adhesive quotes or you can order your girls' names. They can be pricey, so I ended just hand painting a two-tone pink cherry blossom tree. Not as fancy as this, but decent enough considering it only cost me a few quarts of paint. This decal from easy is $86. For your windows: I agree with the PP worried about window safety. With those windows, I would invest in plantation shutters (too heavy for a 2 or 3 year old to unlock and swing open) or buy a metal window gate to ensure your kids can't open the window. Then you can buy some pretty sheers to soften the look of plantation shutters. I got some from Pottery Barn Kids that are embroidered with pink and green butterflies to cover my daughter's shutters. It offers a light whimsical look. They're both sleeping now so I can't take photos. I can't copy the image here, but I see one on eBay now with lavender butterflies for $35 per 84" panel. Post photos when you finish the playroom!

OMG, I remember Chico, BBSTX! I think they add a nice soft ambience to rooms when entertaining. Totally agree. If the right color and dimmed, and coupled with other forms of light, they can highlight things like dishes and crystal in a way that reminds me of the displays at Cartier on 5th avenue! (my office was a block away for a time). It was (is) in a very old building and had such a calm, elegant hushed feeling, partly due to the relatively low light. What type of ceiling will you have in the sunroom? It will not be vaulted, because we want to have a deck on top, since it will get nice ocean views and breezes. Your room is lovely, but I am not sure I want wood on the ceiling and on the floor (doing painted wood), esp w cedar shingles on the only solid wall. Sort of too many lines?
