Yes, it is rough on the feet. My 10 yr old son complained! I don't think I would put one in a room where you might sit or lie on the floor. I've heard that it softens over time. Will be interesting to see if that happens. Right now I almost always have socks on, but once it warms up I will be barefoot most of the time. I am wondering if I will hate it then. Hope not, because I love the way it looks. At first, my powder room door would drag. But, it was not sitting totally flat due to being rolled up during shipping. Now, it's flat and the door is fine. But, I suspect if your door is real low, it might not work.

Finallyhome, because this is important and a big expense, I would recommend you do what I suggest to most of my clients. Purchase the smallest available rugs offered and check it for color and quality. Then order the one that works best in your bedroom and send the smallest rug back to the vendor. This will save you money an aggravation in the long run. However, in doing some searching on-line, I've discovered that both rugs that everyone seems to favor are from Momeni, but perhaps the color rendition of the 4th rug is not correct in your picture. I went to the Momeni website and captured these images and close ups. The wool rug is way more colorful than depicted originally. You may want to double check my info. What I can tell you is I bought a rug just 3 years ago for my porch. I spent 40 years in retail and had all the time in the world to research web sites. I find Target to have a great assortment and pricing vs say a Wayfair or even big box home stores. Check them for options. For what it's worth, I got a neutral 8X10 so it blends in with my concrete. But that's just my taste.

Agree, go lighter with a subtle color. Or even an overdyed oriental rug. Or have you considered an animal print- like the antelope rugs (Stark is the classic, but I think others sell them)
