We have a very similar fixture in the entry of our TH. Think it probably came from Ethan Allen about 10 years ago.
It has not collected dead flies or other ickies since we have owned it. The glass gets a hazy film on it but bugs aren't a problem. And I have only cleaned it a few times since it is in a story and a half entry,

I could have written what Dorothy9 just said! Ditto everything, except I've only had mine a couple of years, & I ordered them from Bellacor.com.

Mine are not trimmed in black, but in antiqued brass. They were priced well & have a classic look that's not too embellished or fussy. I searched for light fixtures for a long time before I decided on these. There's a lot of weird stuff out there! I'm very pleased with these.

I think it depends on how often you will actually use it, since the bugs are attracted to the light. I have a stairway light with a bowl, and I just last week had to clean out the dead bugs. My light is on a dimmer and is on pretty much all night. It's for that reason that I won't do a bowl over my kitchen table.

We used a similar one in our two-story entry when we built the house 12 years ago. I loved it, but wanted something different, so I've since replaced it. I never noticed bugs in it. It did, however, get very dusty, which would have been easier to take care of if I didn't have to use a ladder. Mine didn't have the clear bottom. If I remember correctly, it had a solid brass bottom, so the bugs, if any, wouldn't have been as noticeable.

Be very careful though. I bought one for my stairwell online from a discount lighting source,( I can't remember for the life of me who I ordered it from). Anyhow, the glass seemed to fit just right in the black ring. But on a very hot day (we do not have central air) the glass bell jar slipped through the ring and shattered all over my stairs! Thank the lord my kids were not on the stairs and no one was hurt. Needless to say, I am very weary about these things now. I also remember bugs in it, and replaced it with a different light since it was impossible to reach and clean.
